Anyone know what the 5-star cutoff is for this? A friend and I were played and got nearly 100% but only 4 stars. |

You should play it on a harder difficulty then because maybe there isn't enough notes in whatever difficulty you are playing to hit 5 stars, either that or you didn't use star power. _________________

Ahh, yeah that makes sense. We maybe missed a couple notes, and used star power. I was assuming you could still 5-star it on any difficulty, but it just might not be possible. Probably why we missed 5-starring a number of songs because of that. Thanks. |

Actually, my brother and I both got 100% thankfully on this song. Problem: We still have four stars. We got 185251 and still no five stars. I also strategized where to start star power. What is the 5-star cutoff for this song in coop?
* We just beat it, cutoff is between 185251 and 217000, I had to go in hard while my brother stayed in medium. |

We had figured that since it was Spinal Tap, the greatest band in the history of bands (hehehehe...), that you had to get 100% to get 5*.
Well, we both got 100%, and 4 stars...haha...MAD...we were quite mad. _________________

Uh.. yeah. I think it's a bit stupid that you can't get 5* on M/M. My partner and I both got 100%. I'm on here looking for an answer to this stupid thing..
k, I just did it again, E/H, 208502, got 5*. |

According to this FAQ http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/932565/46589
the 5-Star cutoff is 198 000
My friend and I tried to get it M/M, but we didn't reach it
Seems really hard and I think H/M or M/H is necessary to get the 5-Star here |

My friend and I were just trying to beat this on M/M - after playing it dozens of times and working out all the star powers, we managed to get every single star power, full whammying, made the most out of it - I didn't miss a note but my friend (on lead) missed one - our final score was 193121 - and it was still 4 stars. So I was convinced it was impossible to get 5 stars on M/M, thought I'd come to ScoreHero to see if anyone else had had problems with it (this is my first post, yay).
Looks like we'll go try it on H/M instead.
Edit: Just thinking about it though, if the cutoff is indeed 198000. One note missed would mean you'd miss 3000 points in the following ten notes (for not having 4x multiplier) then 2000 in the ten after that, and 1000 in the ten after that - that's 6000 points all up. So theoretically if we hadn't missed that one note, we'd have got around 199000. So I think it is possible, if you FC it, use your star powers at the right time and use your whammy bar as much as possible.
Maybe we'll have another try.
Edit 2: WOOHOO! Four tries later, we just FC'd it on M/M, every single star power, whammied every possible SP note - 201469 - and five stars! Finally!
So that's confirmed - 5* is possible on M/M - you just need to play it perfect.

If I'm right, it should be 195608. But I can't confirm it 'cause I lack a working PS2. :p |
