First off, big thanks go out to GameZelda and danielmbp for making all this possible.

This thread is a place for everyone to post their customized images (the main menu and settings screens, fonts, and so on except for fretboards, there's already a thread for those here) so long as they DO NOT CONTAIN any copyrighted files/code from the game, as that would be illegal (in other words, no .milo_ps2 or .tex files. If I find you've posted either of those I will find you and bludgeon you with a sock filled with quarters).

If you are new to all this, stop right here and read this guide: http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30162
DO NOT ask questions on how to go about the replacing process. Thats what the aforementioned guide is for.

INDEX
NOTE: DO NOT save the images below! Instead, click on the preview and it will take you to the author's post, where you will find the original image.

    Main Menu ui\gen\main.milo_ps2\mainmenu.tex

    Legal info splash (Press Any Button) ui\gen\splash.milo_ps2\splash_poster.tex

    Guitars char\og\guitars\gen\

    Character skins char\

And, as suggested by ghadict, here's a (highly recommended) post format when posting new images/skins/files-not-off-a-gh-disc:
Code:

{POST_DESC}

[b][color=blue]Preview:[/color][/b]
{IMG_PREVIEW}

[b][color=blue]File:[/color][/b] [color=green]{MILO_TEX_PATH}[/color]
{IMG_FILE}

[b][color=blue]{FILEHOST}:[/color][/b]
{FILEHOST_LINK}

{CONCLUSION}

What the brackets are...
{POST_DESC} = Description of your post/custom image etc.
{IMG_PREVIEW} = A preview of your custom image
{IMG_FILE} = An image of the bmp file. (optional)
{MILO_TEX_PATH} = Path to milo or tex in ghex.
{FILEHOST_LINK} = Link to ACTUAL bmp
{CONLCUSION} = Optional. Use it to sum up your custom image. (i.e. Rendering done in 3ds Max)

So, for example, if I'm posting a skin for *blah blah* guitar, it would look something like this:

Quote:
Blah Blah Les Paul

Preview:

File: \char\og\guitars\gen\lespaull.milo_ps2>lespaul_burst.tex

Savefile link:
http://www.savefile.com/files/1563409

Preview done in MiloExplorer 3.1b, which is AWESOME BTW

This is the picture desertman posted (the only reason I am doing this is because it's silly to post something and not have a link to the image; I want to save others the trouble of downloading it just to look):

Kind of... Completely unrelated to Guitar Hero and unsuitable as a main menu. But that's just me.

I hope some people post their menus or just write them done. I'd really like to see what other people have come up with.

Once it's done, i'll be posting a "1337 $|>3/\|<" font. It will be confusing yet funny.

yeah, i mean whatever if youre going for some militaristic theme but a menu should preferably have a space in the lower center for where the text is gonna go....it would probably be best to take the original image and work from there....erase the artwork and even the logo if it suits what youre doing, and find something that fits in there

hmmm... i really wanna use that menu that emperikal just posted but i'm kind of at a loss of what to do...

Do i just save the picture he posted as a .bmp_ps2?

And where is the actual picture for the main menu located?

EDIT- i found the picture that is set as the main menu at default, and it's a tex file... i know alot of files in GH are tex but i don't know what to do with them... so how do i get emperikal's picture instead of that one?

actually i like this one a lot....the only change i would make would be to brighten (or darken) the spot where the menu itself would be....maybe place a brighter, almost white-ish flame in the center beneath the logo.
as for the distortion, i don't think anyone would notice unless they were viewing it on an hdtv

quick tweak.. not really a flame but at least gives room for the text to be seen clearly
