No, I replaced TTFAF with FotS. It should be smaller, shouldn't it? |

So question..
how are you putting older Guitar Hero songs in GH3? I thought you couldn't convert Mid2Chart for official mids?
I'd kill to play, say, Jordan or Freebird in GH3 >.> |

The latest version of dB has support for the official GH(2) mids. |

Not necessarily. The WAD uses blocks of 0x800 (2048) bytes, if your change doesn't reduce the file size below one of these 2048 byte boundaries then it will stay the same size overall.
Edit: fixed typo and corrected decimal conversion of 0x800.

Success! I replaced Kool Thing with Fury of the Storm and it worked great(Its funny watching a girl sing along to Dragonforce). Although the whole band's audio is tied in to the guitar track, so if you miss a note the music will stop. The sound will also "warp" if you use the whammy bar . Thanks to everyone for working on this, Its super-fan-freakin'-tastic! |

Not necessarily. The WAD uses blocks of 0x800 (4096) bytes, if your chance doesn't reduce the file size below one of these 4096 byte boundaries then it will stay the same size overall. |
Ok, thanks for helping me out. |

Wouldnt it be easier to be putting the custom tracks on the band section of the MSV? 5-6? |

For the songs, the order seems to be:
1-2: Lead guitar L-R
3-4: Band L-R
5-6: Rhythm L-R _________________

Yes, it goes like GameZelda Said.
I mapped the channels with beat it, by making a left and right, then making emptyleft, emptyleft1, etc. and when you go in game and whammy, it doesn't distort the audio at all.
So my guess would be for Jordan to have a
Band Left, then band right, guitar left, then guitar right, then bass left, then bass right, and join them in that order.
It makes sense now that I have an example. |

Right I've read about 20 pages of this topic, I think my mind is becoming puzzled.
I want to know if its possible to put custom songs into Guitar Hero III for PC, if so, could someone like quote all the stages of the process of doing it, or just make a tutorial for the PC version lol.
Thanks. |

I don't think I'll bother with that first one, its very buggy, I'll use other one, quite good with Command Prompt _________________
