|
|
Since the release of GH3, people have had many different opinions on how Neversoft has handled the note charts. People have been posting a lot of threads about their opinions on GH3, so I think it's better just to have one thread for this. First, a couple of rules. Be logical. Give reasons for why you like/dislike the note charts, and give good reasons why. Also, NO FLAMING WHATSOEVER. Anyone who does this will be forum banned immediately.
***************Use this format when giving your opinion*********************

Other than that, go ahead.
Edit: Please use this thread for all games. _________________

I actually like the note charts.. hammer on and pulls offs are way easier though... i liked the clearness, even though the notes seem to be closer together.. 8/10 from me |

Song: The Way It Ends
Difficulty: Expert
Opinions: First off, I'm a sucker for fast strumming charts, and I just LOVE playing this chart. The constant stop go brings my hand to pain, and I love it. (HA loves pain. )
Song: Jordan
Difficulty: Expert
Opinion: No opinion. We all know how much I love this chart. _________________

Well, I think its an awesome game
and other than the drummer moving like a robot, and sensitive star power phrases, the only complaint of mine is the bad servers going around on 360 Live right now, and my game Freezes a lot
a lot of my friends also have games freezing
other than that, i love the way my les paul looks, i put my Gh3 logo on fire, and its sick!
great game and good job RO and Neversoft and Activision |

Song: Through the Fire and Flames
Difficulty: OFf the charts
Opinions: Holy God. Even though I don't really like Dragonforce, this song completely made my day. I was trying for about two hours to beat the final boss, and then when this came up, I was smiling the whole way through. It was pure awesome. There were some sections I thought could have been better, I don't know their names specifically, but there was one about halfway through the song where the notes seemed to be too far apart for what my ears were hearing. Also at the beginning with the "WHEEEEEEEE" notes that go BOBOBOBOBOBO, I thought that could have been a hold, and you could create your own sounds with that.
Overall it was just the perfect way to say "You thought GHII was hard? Check out this!" |

I loved playing through My name is Jonas and Cult of Personality
the cool sounding and no strumming is easy and fun in this game
10/10s for those
i just won my first ranked battle, it was against a guy who had unlocked the devil, and played Raining blood (a song i haven't played) and i beat him in less than a minute, (Amp disorder + Double notes = Pwned) |

cult of personality is an amazing chart. i came into the game not really liking the song that much but the note chart made me like it soooooo much. the new thing where u have to strum as if it were a real guitar is a little weird but im getting used to it already. _________________

Song: Raining Blood
Difficulty: Expert
Opinions: Ughhh the random (I think) and strummed s in Mosh 1 always kill my streak, I can do the descending four note runs perfectly but having those in between just kills me _________________

Song: Barracuda
Difficulty: Expert
Opinions: Solo doesn't seem right to me. Every time i listen to it in my car I see O, B, Y decending in 3 note patterns but instead it's two note. I dunno, i just odn't like it.
Overall: this is a very hard game. I 5-starred every song my first try until i got to raining blood which i actually failed...many times before i passed it. The "new" way of hammer ons is messing me up a lot too but i think i'll get used to it. lots of strumming in the middle of solos causes me to break combos >.< but i like it. i'll think of more specific charts i have problems with at a later time but right now, greatest chart:
cities on flame with rock and roll. wish it was in the main career =P |

The Way It Ends is just.... ridiculous. I can't express it. It just pulls out all the stops with the gyo's and pure craziness.
The Way It Ends
Difficulty: I'm going to guess... 8? lol I haven't passd it yet and I've passed most of tier 8,
Opinions: Crazy ass tremolo/triplenote chord transitions, crazy. _________________

Song: Holiday In Cambodia
Difficulty: Expert, 6/10
Opinion: One of my favorite songs musically in the game. A hit harder than I expected, but very fun. It doesn't hurt that the chart is one of the more accurate ones in the game either. *looks menacingly at RLYaH and Paranoid* _________________

Both the Tom Morello and the Rise against the Machine songs had awesome sounding solos' and I liked them a lot, despite the wierdness
Ditto +1 for those who agree strumming in solo's are a little annoying, its tough to differentiate when so many notes come flying at you
and Hyperspeed? How do you get it??!! |
