First off - like the idea this whole thread is talking about right now, i do.

I do have a nomination for an alternate route, or a second way to do a league.

NEW IDEA

We could set it up like the NBA, or basically name team captains, and have a 5-man roster.

EDIT: or just a 3-man roster (might be easier)

Each week, teams will play a 2 to 3 song set, each member of the team plays, totall combined scores for each player and all songs is what determines winner.

Selection process. Players given A, B, C ranking based on scorehero rank.
Team to have 1 A (this would be like a top 50 player), 2 Bs (top 400), 2 Cs (the rest)

Scoring example:
Songs - SLow Ride, Cliffs, One
Team 1 scores = (for all 5 members = 1,000,000 on Slow RIde, 1,250,000 on cliffs, 2,200,000 on One) 4,450,000
Team 2 scores = 4,250,000

Stats would be either Wins and Losses (like previous NFL league idea) OR
take every team's total score, and award pts like current all all previous leagues.

Team captains would be nominations and would be the 'A' player, who then pic among the remaining members, or we could just have a random draw (probably quicker)

**********

Bringing a TEAM effort to scorehero leagues would be a fun and nice addition (in my opinion of course).
Curious to see if people would like this idea. suggestions?

EDIT: This would also be great for Cross-Platform play!

I'm new to Scorehero, but that sounds like an awesome idea. If anyone does do something like that, I'd be willing to join.

We could check the leaderboards to make sure the scores are legit.. sorry if that's been suggested
however, sometimes the scores aren't right or they don't save. Like I FCd MNIJ, but on the leaderboard it says a different, lower score.

I think that the best thing to do is for the 360 players to all congregate, take their 360's and have an intervention. Many of their loved ones would show up to tell them that their console is inferior and make them all see what a piece of crap they bought. Then to celebrate the inlightenment, all of the 360's would be smashed using nintendo Wii's as hammers. Finally, the reckage would be given to sony so that they could make PS3's out of the recycled metal.

I think instead of getting the winner to report the match, the loser should be required to report his loss. I've played in a couple of online leagues for different games that used this method, and it worked really well and avoided conflict for the most part. There's a much greater chance of accurate scoring if this method was followed. Also, to address the glitch issue, in one of the leagues I was involved in, their policy was that if a disconnect happened during play, a win would be awarded if one player had a significant lead in the match, otherwise a rematch would be in order. For example: Player A has won 2 songs in a best of 5 by 60k each and then Player B gets disconnected. Player A is awarded the win. If Player A is the one who gets disconnected, they resume the match with Player A having a 2-1 lead (receiving a loss for the disconnected song, but not the entire match) This way, if someone is losing, intentional disconnects would still result in a loss for the trailing player, and wouldn't penalize the leading player too much. Also, these rules could be negotiated by the players if for example the song is nearly a tie and a disconnect occurs in the middle, the players can agree to just replay it and not issue a loss to either. Since ScoreHero does work on the honor system, I think this would definitely work out. Just an idea, do with it what you will.

Because PS3 is so awesome that it doesn't have to be like crappy xbox and whine for its own league.
