This path got me 96,912. Try it out!

I squeezed out 96,816 on the Wii with this:

2 - 2nd yellow (should have a score of 22,056 after collecting the next set of star power notes)
2 - 1st yellow
3 - NN (green note immediately after the last star power note)
2 - NN

Star power activation for the 2nd and 3rd time is crucial. Activate it as close as possible for the upcoming note.
