2-2-3

2: next
2: third
3: Next Note

The Note Chart is wrong. The 2nd activation happens on 2 sustains, not 2 single notes.

It is all tick squeezes

Very very close...

One activation is slightly off though.

I'm thinking:

2 - next
2 - 2nd yellow?
3 - next note

not sure though

Agreed, this is the same that I used.

By moving the first activation on one more note from the first Yellow you can get all of the R sustain & squeeze the Yellow note following as well, although it's quite tight. It's worth maybe 40ish more tick points.

I assume you both meant 2-2-3 because you clearly know what you're talking about, so here's the path in picture form for anyone that wants to dethrone Potatoboy on PS2. The number at the end is a minimum possible maximum, that is to say, I know for certain the score is attainable but I can't squeeze as well in the game as I can on paper.
Mississippi Queen Optimal Easy SP
The only squeeze involving ticks is the second (You will easily clear the end of the last sustain in the final activation)
Good Luck

Yes, 2-2-3 indeed.

Also, the score is more than attainable as I currently have 54,148 (a massive 8 more points!!!), but as it's on the Wii Tatty Boy still survives

I appreciate you pointing out your score. I didn't have the presence of mind to check all the consoles before putting the number. I simply saw chad's and assumed it was the highest. The picture (same direct address) now reflects your score.

P.S. Congrats on that score.

EDIT(12/13/07): I've moved the picture for better organization to this address http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a131/XenosynC/GH3%20Charts/1-Easy/6-MQ.png , original post will be updated to match.

This and HMWYBS might be the second/third songs with optimal scores (the metal being first).

*Hi7 goes to search for optimal tickage

Tick squeezes are simply squeezes that involve getting as many ticks as possible. Ticks are the smallest part of sustains, the base element, if you will; every time your score goes up on a sustain, that's another tick.

In the case of Mississippi Queen Easy (at this point, please look on de1337ed's link for reference), you're trying to get as many ticks as you can off the yellow sustain on the second SP activation (see Measure 45), while still hitting the green note in Measure 50. That's how my optimal +8 score (former best on PS2) got beat: Tampon had optimal +16 because of a better tick squeeze.

There has to be something I don't understand. For some reason, the highest score I can get is 54156...(easy answer, I miss some ticks) but the thing is, at measure 33 I ALWAYS have a score of 16488 already 8 ticks (the 8 pts I miss to be co-first) aways from optimal (16496) ...but how!? the only sustain notes are in the middle of my SP , its not like I let go to soon... Does hitting sustain note very early can get you an extra tick?
