If you look at my estimated cutoff lists, you will see the contributing sustain listed for each song. To get the number of individual notes in a song, subtract the contributing sustain value from the estimated base score and then divide by 50.

My estimated base scores appear to be within 100 points of the actual base scores anyway so there is little point. Most songs have several thousand points of sustain.
