Everyone's paths have only 10 sp phrases being used yet there are 12 in the song, are you really supposed to overlap 2 sp phrases? That could add another activation into the song if you used those but I don't know if that would be optimal.

A lot of the sp phrases you can whammy a lot so you just dont need those 2 other sp phrases. Plus the areas that they are at are relatively note heavy so by overlapping them you can get more notes under star power.

sure

lets take the optimal path for impulse.

the activations occur after 2 star powers then 3, then 2, then 3 again. Therefore the activation numbers would look something like...

2
3
2
3

Now adding in where the activation notes are

2 - 10R
3 - 2G
2 - 4G
3 - instant

The combination of number and letter after the dash is where you activate. For example 10R means that you activate on the 10th red after you get 2 star power phrases. Or the 2nd Green after you get 3 star power phrases. Instant is just what it sounds like. Right when you get that last star power phrase, use it immediately to maximize your points. You might also come across a NN symbol. That means that you get the specified number of star power phrases and then you use star power on the Next Note, (hence the NN). Although if you do not want to go through the trouble of looking through all of the posts to find a good star power path, The website here or here have all of the paths for different levels of squeezing. If you need help on squeezing, which most songs have at least one squeeze, you can find Absolutely Everything You Need to Know About Squeezing
