Anyone have input? |
Figured it out meself, thanks all. If anyone has the same problem as mine, just do this:
1) Go here as previously posted, and follow the instructions on there on how to verify if your cookies are deleted.
2) When you get to the group of cookies, just delete the SH cookie on the top.

You don't need to clear all your cookies, only the ScoreHero ones. See the Microsoft guide that was posted above on how to remove them.

Did you remove your old ScoreHero cookies? And if so, what steps are you following to login, and what is acting up? _________________

That link tells you absolutely EVERYTHING about clearing your cookies on all common computers, icluding Macs. _________________

Hmm.
I can log into the forums on both sides fine, but can't log in to input scores. Every time I log in, it boots me back to the front page with no actual logging in or out. =/ _________________

I normally use firefox, and clearing my cookies does NOT allow me to log in. No matter what I do, I can't log into the forums. I used IE7 just now so that I could log in to post this... _________________

I can log in to forum posts - but must log in every time I make a reply. But like eachann, I can't log in the main forum to post scores.
I did clear my cookies from Firefox. What hasn't cleared, though, is the little bit that asks, the first time you enter a password, if you want Firefox to remember that password. So when I click "log in", or "reply", Firefox fills in the name and password. How would I clear just that password from whatever password file I have? And would that fix the problem? _________________

I don't think it will help your problem, but to clear that, go to Tools --> Options... --> Security --> Show Passwords... then you can click on the ones you want to delete and click "Remove". _________________

Thank you ricecake. Indeed, it didn't solve the problem. Sigh.
EDIT: actually, upon checking, I see that after erasing the original Scorehero cookies, and visiting the site, and logging in... Firefox isn't saving scorehero cookies in Firefox. That would explain, I think, why I'm never logged in or stay logged in... but how to tell it to accept the cookies if it's not done automatically? _________________

Okay. Using Firefox 1.5.0.12 and IE 6.0.2800.1106
I can log in to scores on IE. I cannot on Firefox. Temporary internet files were all cleared; cache was cleared; Scorehero cookies in Firefox were cleared; I even cleared the password bit for it. No dice.
The coockiecheck2.php site gives:
- Firefox:
Array ( )
31beab2d2c17c0ebca33c0695c34ae45
- IE:
Array ( [PHPSESSID] => ebeafd67c1a9400083d3b20a71791a94 [phpbb2mysql_data] => a:2:{s:11:\"autologinid\";s:32:\"df93a492b717d5d89a14126689135185\";s:6:\"userid\";i:559;} [phpbb2mysql_sid] => ead8b7253381eeba8e8143d5e0a12975 [ghf_uname] => Niall [ghf_pass] => 9ddfade5963a468ab912a953f32b9828 [ghf_login] => 1 [__utma] => 1.668160292.1196724742.1196724742.1196724742.1 [__utmb] => 1 [__utmc] => 1 [__utmz] => 1.1196724742.1.1.utmccn=(direct)|utmcsr=(direct)|utmcmd=(none) )
1b50efa7e13c4fd278941db42e92d951
...kinda different there...
Any help? I try to never use IE if possible, and it'd be really annoying to always have to. Plus it's a mystery, and I like to have them solved... _________________

Cannot log in on either IE or Firefox. Cleared the cache, the cookies, browser history, everything.
