I didn't see this mentioned in Riff's tutorial or anywhere else when I tried searching; not sure if it needed a whole new thread, but hopefully it'll help someone else.
So, my question is how do you notate hammer-ons and pull-offs in the midi file? It seems that they carry over if you tab the song in Freetar and then convert it to midi, but I don't do it like that. Has anyone figured this out, or do you guys just use Freetar or no hammer/pulls?

HO/POs are automatically put in when you make a chart. _________________
Correct, HOPO's are automatically created by the game based on BPM (tempo) and the space between the notes. There is no way to flag a particular note for a HOPO section (that we know of).
