I need a mac alternative for this because it won't let me search my computer for files when I use eof on the mac.

What do you mean it won't let you search for files? Are you saying the file browse window is broken? You may be able to set a file association so you can just double click on the EOF file to open it and work on the chart.

What folder is your project (.eof) file in? When you browse to the folder containing the project in that browse window, is the file not showing? I don't use Mac, so I don't know what it is supposed to look like, but if you're sure it's not allowing you to select the file I can check with NewCreature, who maintains the Mac port.

your supposed to be able to upload a ogg file then you chart it but its only searching its own internal files. I use mac because for frets on fire you get slow mode which I need for practice. I tried to send my eof file from the PC but wasn't able to.

I was asking the community for a new editor for the mac that I could upload the audio file into.

EOF doesn't work that way. File>Load opens an existing EOF project. If you don't have a project yet, you can create a new project using File>New, at which point you can select your audio file. EOF has been available for Mac for years now, so if it didn't work at all I'm sure we'd have heard about it by now.
