Suprisingly loleasy with the correct path. I had a brief combo in the end triplets...didn't really last, though...and was midway, so only a x2...
I'm quite surprised and pleased with the rank. :3
Previously:
I just kept an FC outside the trips in that little solo, and activated as soon as that last sp phrase STARTS. I'm so glad to not have choked the ending.
Holy shit! I got it! (Note that my current score is now 271K.)
This was a near FC, I'm damned proud of it...hell, a few mistakes less would've been a 7*...
I'm so glad to finally get this one out of the way. I only beat the cutoff by 423 points. At least it's over the hump!
Freaking sweet. This is a damned hard 6* to get.
Here's that sexy top 500 YGATC picture:
I knew I could do this one.
Might I also mention that this is currently in the top 1000, making it my first Face Melter to reach this rank range.
It's 994th right now!
Random decision to play:
Last 4* in GH I expert!
Six finally fell.

good work! I got my Log on GH2, but never actually got around to even PLAYING all the bonus songs. I tip my hat to you, excellent work.
That's pretty awesome about the Guitar God posting status at the same time too _________________

Awesome job. That is what I'm trying to do myself. Six is still quite a ways off for me, for now. But really. I'm sure it must feel good that you can now simply say you have 5*ed ALL songs in GH2. _________________

Thanks! What really put me over was an almost magical comprehension of the second to last riff, and sp in the second...um... chord section.
I finally didn't fuck up somewhere overly critical! I almost always doing that when going up a star rating on a difficult song.
On that note, CFH's main riff feels rather slow and steady to me now. It's a shame that I usually miss on the first sp phrase, either before or during...
I will 5* this, and figuring out those buzzing parts would play a major step forward in doing so. :P I'll probably always suck at the solo and the part, or at least for a very long while. _________________

nice job on CFH, that song is super tough to get the hang of, but once you do its one of the most fun songs in the game. My high score used to be like 65K, and now its over 400K _________________

Bump.
See the title for why.
Edit: Slapped in more accurate TBW score. (I can always take a setlist pic for proof. I wasn't even going to bump this except for the Frank...and 9 million that I realized once I updated the Frank score...before the 5*. It was 152K before. ) _________________

I hate to bump something three times without a response, but...hell. It gets the tread some exposure.
Also note that I'm working towards getting the 6* on SOTW to get 6*'s on all the Opening Licks (It should net me a top 1000 spot for the licks, too.) _________________

always good to see people playing good ol gh1 still.
here's some tips for your songs to 5 star, in order of ease
Crossroads- this song is basically luck, getting a decent solo run, and nailing everything else while getting as much sp as possible.
Guitar Hero- I hated this song, luckily the first half is mostly just repetition so its mostly just getting the beginning under the belt
CotC- the verses in the beginning, and the chords at the end are your friend. just survive the solos
The breaking Wheel- during i found that i would always hold the blue/yellow too long. now i just give them the slightest tap and its a lot easier to combo that section, since it happens a lot. also getting the intro and the ending is a big help
GR2R: The intro, and everything else thats not chords (other than solo)is all thats needed to be hit
BatM- just the main riff, a near perfect run of that, without a total flop of everything else should be plenty
CFH- main riff, and the chords with the fill, dont mind the other one, unless you can hit it. Just save sp for the main riff and that'll get tons o points
Texas Flood- like crossroads, only without all the easy chords. getting sp is tough enough, and using it while keeping a combo is also a challenge.
phew, that was a lottta typing... Well, good luck _________________

Free advice! Sweet.
The funny thing about Crossroads is that I always have trouble getting back into the chords...and I usually mess up that double chord part on the last section of chords because I always accidentally lift my finger. I'm usually pretty awesome at the solos, so I just need to combo all the chords...
Also, damned that first half of GH, I always mess up somewhere on it and I know I could 5* it if I could do it worth a damn.
It'll take a little work, but I can't wait for the day when I can change the title of this thread to reflect Guitar God status... _________________

Bump.
This is a sweet victory for me.
Killer Queen should be easy for Thrash and Burn, but I'm gonna have to really learn my sp for Symphony of Destruction. _________________

Well, I can tell you my path if you want to try for it.
3-activate around that part
2-activate on that first chord
4-activate on the last chord
2-whammy about 1 measure (more if you're brave, buy you'll have to activate sooner, and start on
2-get these last 2 sp phrases, then activate just before the last set of chords
You should be sitting at about 243 or 244K by the last hold (chord, just before the part), 245K if you're lucky.
Just combo all of the end, and you should have it. _________________
