Does anyone understand why this is being done? Some sort of confusion maybe? Also I saw an Eruption and a Santeria chart submitted to CustomHero. Anyone know what's going on with some of these users? |
Some are just idiots, and have been banned. _________________

What is the offset column?
Is that for the notes off set from the music or something else? _________________

That's the offset you use when importing the MP3...

Read all the relevant "idiot proof guide" stickies in the Software Forum.
EDIT: Actually, also read Nickb's Guide for playing custom songs. _________________

I've been searching the stickies for more help on making it and I'm following nickb's guide.
I just tought it was something different since not all the songs had an offset. _________________

JCirri wrote: | Also just to keep you all updated on what's still to come:
- Improved customs management - customizable auto-generated OP format
- Popularity ratings (very simple youtube-style ratings)
- Number of (clicks to) downloads shown per chart
I plan to go back to combined rankings across platforms and complete that, along with some much-needed features on the Rock Band side, before continuing work on anything else related to customs. Although I still need to figure out why those CustomHero submitted charts occassionally aren't linking properly. |
In short, yes. It's just going to take time to implement. _________________

I've got a question about the CustomHero live charts thing..hopefully it's alright to post here seeing as there's no forum at CH...
Alright, so if (and when) a chart is accepted, are they going to be immediately released like the first 3 or 4? Or will there be a period to collect a few charts that are CH-level and release them all at the same time?

What does that have to do with this thread?
Anyway... Hi there. Pretty new to the site. Started to get to grips with scorehero. I assume the way people get customs is by searching the customs part of scorehero? Just say I wanted Master Of Puppets. I find about 4 customs but I have read a thread that says "Phr34k"s is the best.. dunno where I would find it.
So I assumed Custom Hero is to solve this problem and make getting customs easier and more professional?
Just I'm on the site now and logged in but when I go to Browse I only see 11 songs. If I do a search for Metallica it comes up with nothing.
So I think I'm being rather retarded and not finding the right link.
Very sorry if this has been posted before but there are so many stickies/announcements that I have no idea what I'm looking for.
Keep up the good work guys. By the chance a song is in sync the charts are awesome. Really love Between The Buried and Me with Ants in the Sky |

In response to the above post, the only problem right now is that customhero has to review every chart to make sure they are of the highest standard. Plus they'll only host a song of an author submits it to them for review. For now, you can look at through the author's thread to see if other people have given them positive feedback on their charts, or simply look at previews of the chart to judge if their high quality or not. Later on, a ratings system will be implemented in the scorehero database too so that way you can see how the average user rates the songs not submitted to customhero.
About Master Of Puppets, Ph34k is the creator of customhero.net so that says something about his charts.
On a totally different note, does anyone know customhero's stance on songs with explicit lyrics in them? like will a song be approved if it has profanity on top of drug references? |

Thanks very much for the reply.
As for your question on the explicit content. I would hope that CH allow it as in the end it's the users choice to play the song. Plus they also have to use there own MP3s. |
