Well folks, its been a while. And to be honest, my update isn't all that big, but I was bitten by the GH bug recently. All the old games were in my PS2 except GH1. I was so close in getting CiaM, but had to give it a rest eventually and I never went back to it. I put in GH2 and looked into my FC options there, but nothing seemed worth going after once I tried all of them out a few times. Then, I decided to finally make the effort to redux GH3H. I got some pretty nice scores overall on the ones I reduxed, but hit a wall once I got to tier 5, so unfortunately, it was only tiers 1-4, quickplays and bonus songs that got reduxed. Feel free to see the scores at your leisure. Finally I put in GHA, the most underrated game in the GH library. I was grinding away at TKaR, but I couldn't find consistency on the Caboose section. I played around with the others, but I don't see myself landing those without getting back into GH shape, which I don't have time for, nor am I interested enough.

Actually, I completely forgot that I played GHWoR before all of this, for the first time. I took to the career mode and chipped away while I was out of work for a week. After finishing all the tiers, I realize that there were no scores attached to the songs. So basically, I have to play in quickplay for scores, which I never did before (except for exclusives). So after that, I lost all motivation to try to get actual scores and reverted to the old games.

The one thing I actually did achieve, however, was done over a year ago, but I didn't see it worth bumping the thread for. But something I've worked on for a long time, finally got done. Now I'm officially done with expert difficulty!



I'll also mention that I had a run that fell 4 points short of a 5*, the humanity.

Okay, now I'll blubber about my life for a bit (and no, not my whole life, just the last couple of years). The last time I bumped this thread, a lot happened. For starters, I bought a house in Rhode Island. Just before I moved, I was laid off from my job of 4 and a half years. Talk about bad timing, when expenses were high from the move. But luckily, I was only out of work for a couple of weeks before landing another (in the same field). The day we closed on the house, I proposed to my girlfriend of 2 years. After this went down, fellow SHer skinnywhitecomic paid us a visit and we tore up GH3 co-op and got his 360 achievement. Then just after this I got news from my girlfriend that she was pregnant. Then in August, we officially tied the knot and spent our honeymoon on Block Island. Four days after marriage, I get news that I'm getting laid off from this new job as well. Six months at a job almost seems like a pointless hire, but at least helped pay the bills for the time being. This time, I didn't land a job and went the rest of 2012 unemployed and getting buried in bills. Enter 2013, hopefully more highlights and less lowlights. We started 2013 on a high note when our adorable daughter was born in February. Then a lowlight, my wife gets ill right after the baby is born (unrelated). The one benefit to being unemployed was that I could take care of out daughter while my wife recovered. Thankfully, my wife fully recovered, so all went well. Then in April, I finally landed a job, after being unemployed for 6 months. And 2013 has been clean sailing ever since. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary this weekend. So yeah, I had my wits tested in 2012, and have no problem leaving all the lowlights behind to have a happy future.

Bottom line, I don't have a lot of time trying to get into GH shape because there's just too much in life now that prevents me from getting decent playing time. There's a solid chance that I won't get another FC again, which could spell the final trip for this thread. I could say that I won't play GH again, but I'm sure I will again, but only on a casual level.

We're pretty similar in skill level, so be very greatful that you beat Lou in 20-30 tries! I've put in at least 6 hours of just Lou this weekend, and fucking failed everytime....
