ghex doesn't (well, shouldn't, most likely won't) damage your archive unless an error occurs when it's doing something to it, like replacing a file or whatnot.
If that happens, you'll have to get a clean copy of the archive from your disc, otherwise it will be damaged forever.

I see, so are you saying anytime ghex gives me an error I need to start all over again? Is it odd that other people have no problem with these, and I can't seem to get them to work? I mean, I haven't changed anything in the .mids, and I've never changed any default settings in any of the programs I use. I tried putting in the version of Say it Ain't So that was in the bonus song pack keyboardsamurai released, and it worked fine. All other .mids I have swapped have worked fine.

Not that I think this will do anything, but tonight I will try this using the 10 song demo disc and see if it makes any difference. (at least it will take less time to copy!) But I can't remember if the demo had a p.scan option, so if it doesn't I'm screwed even if it does work.

No, I'm saying this:

If you get an error at any other time, it's fine.
It's just that if it happens when ghex is rewriting the .ark file, data will be lost..

Ok, that makes sense. I didn't think you meant every error equals start from scratch, but I just wanted to check. I think I'm giving up on weezer now. Thanks for your help.

New song added- see first post

Ok, so there aren't many Beatles fans here...

This song isn't as hardcore as some of the others around here, but it should more to the speed of those who like riffing/blues-based stuff.

I actually listened to that song yesterday and thought about GH.
Good job on both charts!

God bless you!!

I'm so tired of seeing only crappy death metal mids.

More classic rock!

More full albums!

You rock dude.

Cool, thanks for the responses guys. It's good to get feedback on what kind of stuff people enjoy.

I know Kata, I was just messing around
But when I thought about it, that's a song that people wouldn't know if they're not a fan. It's not one of the Beatles' greatest hits, you know? But I thought it would be cool in the game, and I think it came out good.

Well, for people that really want a challenge in the game, the death metal songs certainly provide that. But for me, the more classic-rock/melodic stuff is more fun. That's why I preferred the first game as well.

I'd concur here as well! It's a pretty big task, but the Weezer album has a lot more chords than solos, which made it easier for me to program. I was considering a Beatles album as well....

begad, the version I used is from a *shhh* bootleg that a guy who goes by the nickname Mirror Spock made from a pristine vinyl version of the album. It sounds better than the real version (until DVD-A or SACD versions come out), but it's the same version of the song. I just figured that the offset would be different for the 'real' version. Has anyone tried it with a different version that could verify?

I'm putting a 3405 ms offset on My Name Is Jonas but it doesn't seem to start off on the right note. My song is 3:24 too and I've tried another one and it seems to start early so that when the song starts, the first yellow note is actually matching up with the 2nd note of the song. If that makes any sense...

By the way, how do you get these precise offset measurements? I've had to guess on a few offsets because the authors didn't mention it and I just try a few random even numbers untill something looks decent.
