there is a weekly tourny every sunday at 2 in brooklyn at animation odyessy.
the store is in coney island, pretty much across the street from nathans. its 5 dollars to enter and you win store credit. it usually gets around 10 people every week.

This is awesome. I will definitely start coming. How much credit do winners receive?
Are there any specific rules for the tournament? I assume Pro-Face Off is the method used (unless there are Co-Op tournaments happening). I can't wait 'til next weekend (wish I knew about this earlier today!). |

the store credit amount depends on the number of people entered.
its all pro face off. i want to do some coop but there has to be more then 10 people for that imo
the play level depends on the crowd there. it is usually on the hard level.
there is also 3 buy ins ( if you lose your round, you can buy back into the tourny for 1 dollar).
other then that. see ya there next week. |

So let me get this straight, there is only one winner. And when the person wins, you pretty much win these Mario figurine things on this website because you win store credit instead of the cash. That is kind of lame.

I doubt the store exists solely to sell those figurines. It seems like a brand new store, so it's pretty obvious that they don't have a fully functional catalog on their website. Even if the prize was a Mario figurine, it really doesn't matter in my eyes as long as there is a common place for Guitar Hero junkies to get together and rock out in an available space. It's about community, not winning or what you get for winning.
I'm definitely looking forward to this. If you're on SH and you're going to be in attendance, post here so some of us can meet and chat. |

its a gaming store. most of their goods are card games and those likes. i won the first week i played, got 50 dollars in store credit which i used to buy my daugther some stuff and then for a free entry into the next tourny. its just about playign the game. if your lookign to get rich playing the game try a differnt store. this store is providing a place to get together and play.
if more people come in to play, maybe the prize structure will change.
if your interested come, if not dont. =) |

it right off the q train. so, if you can hit the train it easy to get to
also nathans is right across the street, cyclone, etc. well worth the trip |

its the last stop on the q train. coney island stop i believe.
when you get off the train turn right on serf ave and walk past nathans and the cyclone etc. its on the same side as the train. you ll find it. |

Shit, gotta pass on this weekend. The weather is pretty bad and I'd rather not be in Coney Island when it's like 20 or so degrees outside. But, the real reason is that I've got some college stuff to take care of so this is gonna have to take a back seat until next weekend when it's all done with.  |

you missed a good tourny this week, a bunch of scorehero guys there. one of them TigerHawk310 kicked all our asses, nice job of doing it btw! hopefully more guys will come next week!
