I'm getting into drums, and am just wondering, which would be best to start with.
Electronic set or a real set? Im kind of going for the best choice for the lowest price. Anyone have any recommendations?

Edit: The ones I'm looking at so far are:
Electronic sets
DTX explorer

Ludwig - Avg price $617
Ludwig Accent 5-Piece Power Drum Set
Ludwig Accent CS Custom Fusion 5-Piece Satin Drum Set WineBurst
Ludwig 5 piece combo

Pulse - Avg price $345
Pulse 5-piece w/Hardware
Pulse Pro 5 Piece shell pack
Pulse Pro Drumset
Pulse 8 piece

Pearl
Pearl Export EX 5-Piece Drum Set with Free 10" Tom

Other - Avg price $350
SP 5 piece
Mapex QR Fusionease 5-Piece Drum Set with 20" Bass Drum

Well, if you don't wanna be noisy and all just get a beginner electronic drum set maybe roland but if you don't mind the noise get a real one. a good beginner real drum set is a ludwig 5 piece drum set imo thats just me though there are better beginner ones though.

I was thinking about the noise reduction from the electronic set. I haven't checked out Ludwig 5 pieces yet [Probably should have in the first place].

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pulse-Double-Bass-8-Piece-Drum-Set-with-Hardware?sku=445229

My brother recommends that, because you can always take away parts if you're not gonna use them.

Pulse =/= very good drumset. I would really advise you to save your money and get something like a Pearl Export.

Pulse is to drums as Squire is to guitar. They're fine. We're talking about his first drumset ever.

I'd recommend Pearls as a really good drumset, but for a first drumset, I would honestly take whatever. I would definitely go with a real set, and whatever is cheap that you can get should be sufficient. A first drumset doesn't have to be expensive or sound amazing; As long as it helps you learn, it should be fine. After you get better at drums, however, look into investing in a pearl set. They are costly, but amazing drumsets once you get good at drums.

Thanks for the recommendations so far you guys. Im just looking for a cheap effective drumset that'll last and still have a good quality to it.

Get whatever feels and sounds best for you. I've said this countless times before, that drumming is all about you and what you like. If you like a particular kit, but everybody recommends a different one (that you don't like), get the one you like. You can't be a good drummer if you don't have equipment that you think sounds good.

Be careful about picking the drums, try to find good cheap brands that are popular and not shitty sets like this
