Wow I suck... I drove for 2 hours to Mt. Vernon to find out expert starts at 7 p.m.

And yeah... No hyperspeed.

that's stupid. i thought it was supposed to start at 10. i didn't go b/c i didn't wanna get up so early lol

did you find out anything else about the tourney grizz? i may still end up going since it's tonight.

i'd think so. that would just be retarded if they expected everyone to wait around all day. i'm going to go later today. i'd better be able to register, it's like 1 1/2 hour drive -.-

something tells me it's a different evansville than the one google maps found me. the one it found me is about 10 minutes east of mt. vernon XD

EDIT: oooh.. i take that back.. there's not 2 evansvilles, there's 2 mt. vernons. yeah, you have about as far of a drive as me.

EDIT: actually, you have quite a bit more of a drive than me, but yours is all interstate

Ok I'll tell you all the info I have

GH III
Tournament

How it works

4 skill levels

Easy: entry fee: $5.00 yournament runs from 10am to 1pm

Medium: entry fee $7.50 1pm to 4pm

Hard: entry fee $10.00 4pm to 7pm

Expert: entry fee $12.50 7pm to 10pm

Registration for easy runs from 8am to 10am.
Other categories: registration will remain open until starting time for that category.

Tournament will be bracket style/last man standing.
2 players will play 1 song. Players can pick the song they play as long as both agree on the song to be played.
Players have 30 seconds to choose a song. If one cannot be agreed upon, the judge will make the call.
High score advances.
In the event of a tie, players can either do battle heads up, or play 1 more song that the judge chooses.

All categories 1st place only wins the prize

prize will be a gift card priced at 20% of the registration fee total collected for each category

General admission is $2.00 per spectator

Tournament Rules

1. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
2. no foul language from anyone.
3. no cheat codes.
4. Players can bring their own controllers but modifications of any kind will disqualify use of that controller.
5. No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances.
6. no outside drinks or food (/sigh)
7. smoking outside only 15 ft or greater from the entrance.
8. No underage smoking anywhere on the premisis. (lolz they can't spell)
9. Players may sign up for 1 skill level only!

Judges & staff have the final say concerning the interpretation of these rules & any other conflicts or issues that may arise.
including, but not limited to.
Intoxication, inebreation, violence, misuse & abuse of equipment, participants, staff & general non-sense in tournament play or otherwise.
Infractions of any kind will constitute disqualification from the tournament & removal from the premises.

I rather been there today, but mandatory saturday overtime sucks (especially when you're working days) and go figure this is the one weekend this month they pull it off at work. I had at least 2 coworkers admit that they rather been at that event too.

I did bad... Won Impulse in the first round and completely sucked at CoP in round 2.

Me + no hyperspeed + split screen + nervous + X-plorer = lolfail

Either way it was fun though. Congrats to whoever won.

that was me that won. did you make it to the finals or were you knocked out in round 2? if you made it through, were you the guy who was older than me or the guy who was younger than me?

oh darn. wait. you weren't that cocky kid were you? the who left and was like "well, those no reason to stay, i already know who's going to win. it's going to be him or him" and pointed out two guys, and neither won of them was me. and i ended up winning.
