Hi everyone. I'm new, give me your welcome.
Anyway, i'm seriously going for a Free Bird FC: I hit solo D-end wankery 75% I play it, but I've serious problems with solo C. Any tips? Fingering? Help me! |

Yeah, solo C.
I play it like 123212321, with the zigzag classic method hitting it 50% of the times.
Good luck xaby, but the race has just started... _________________

Welcome to scorehero!
Well, read the advice on Solo C here and here for some advice.
What I do, is use a 112 fingering throughout Solo C.
etc...
21112111211121112
And GL with the Freebird FC!
EDIT:
A 123 fingering also isn't bad, except for the fact you need spazm fingers to do it properly
etc...

This is the best way to get it done. 1232123212321 requires a load of finger speed. _________________

Why don't more people tap this solo? It's 10x more consistent for me. _________________

I FC it almost always with zig zag tapping. Thats just tapping blue with your tapping finger and pulling off and back on with your normal fingers. |

I would guess
321212121212121212121 (Replacing 1 with the finger preferred >_> no innuendo intended)
And Xabyxx, welcome to Scorehero! Hope you like it as much as the rest of us seem to. You should go to the stickied threads (with the green things next to them) in the General Chat and Website Discussion Forums.
And just a little piece of info that you'll probably end up asking about, the ranks displayed under your name are based on your amount of posts. The order is Rocker, Young Gun, Shredder, Guitar Hero, Guitar Legend, Guitar God, Mascot, and Freebird (coincidentally).
Once again, I hope you like the site, since that's pretty much what the point of it is.
Edit: Cool, 1 post from getting Guitar Legend now. _________________

Place your index, middle, and ring of your fretting hand on a desk and roll them back and forth 123212321232123212321, slowly, but gradually increase the speed, Keeping note of whether you feel all your fingers touch the desk in the sequence of 123212321 each time. Gradually increase the speed up to Solo C's speed.
Alternatively, grab an unplugged GH guitar, and do the same thing while actually fretting the buttons.
Finally, take that practice into Gh2 practice and try the solo on slower and slow to make sure you can stay on rhythm with the notes. Then pump it up to full speed. _________________

32123123123
Basically, you could try playing it as ascending triplets, with ghost and notes every other triplet. Personally, I like the 3212 method myself, but you could always give this a go and see what happens. |
OP means Freebird Solo C. _________________
