Freezepop! I love them, it's time to persuade my sister to buy it for her DS.
Nice find, bit dissapointing there only looks as if there's 1. _________________

Famitsu Magazine, which even gave us some sort of knowledge of this song in the first place when it put the full tracklisting (Albeit with the artist and the rest of the song cut off by the photo) has no knowledge of the Europe song.
I don't think it's in. _________________

I just picked up my copy this morning, and watched through the credits from the main menu, and the Freezepop song is the ONLY song I saw confirmed there that is not in the main set list...
Not even the Europe song that is listed on the Official Web Site...
Most odd...
I hope there is 4 others, but I am now starting to doubt it... _________________

Maybe the songs are in the game and you can unlock them via downloads from the wii or gamestop? |

I have an idea, guys. I know someone who knows a lot about the inner workings of DS games. I'll ask him to poke around in the rom (yeah, he owns it, too.) and see if he can find any other bonus songs, or any spaces for "dlc". (Like the poster above suggested).
....XD maybe he can figure out customs, too. hah.
either way, I really like the Freezepop song! I can see why they chose it for the DS Guitar Hero, and not the Wii Guitar Hero 3. The mentions of Donkey Kong and Super Mario, as well as Gameboy, would've made it more than a little odd to see it on a non-Nintendo console. But, This might be a little joke by Neversoft, 'Cause you have no idea how many people still call it "Gameboy (Advance) DS", which it isn't. Nintendo even said that the DS isn't the next Gameboy, and rather, is something new.
xD Hidden meanings ftw. _________________

So let me get this straight.
Freezepop has a band member named Kasson Crooker who is audio director for Harmonix.
Harmonix develops Rock Band and past Guitar Hero games before GH3.
Freezepop has been on every Harmonix game except GH:80's.
Freezepop has a song on Guitar Hero: On Tour.
?
/me sends an email to Freezepop. I'm getting to the bottom of this! _________________

How much does GH:OT cost? And to the above poster, I don't think Freezepop was in GH3, but I'm not sure, so don't quote me. _________________

Maybe there are secret tracks for stuff like the 360 Achievements; e.g. 100%ing certain songs, 5 starring songs and whatnot. _________________

You're correct. Only Get Ready 2 Rokk from Guitar Hero and Less Talk More Rokk from Guitar Hero 2.
I listened to the song today. I didn't really like it. |

I didn't say Freezepop was in GH3. I said every Guitar Hero game BEFORE GH3 except for the 80's.
Its just odd that a band that is mostly affiliated with Harmonix, and has a Harmonix employee in the band has a song on a GH game now that its being developed by someone other than Harmonix. Especially with the seemingly bad blood between both companies and plastar games I wouldn't expect something like this. _________________

If Freezepop is the link that saves the rock-rhythm game industry together, than I am truely one happy man right now. However, Freezepop was most likely just paid money for the rights to use it. Just because they have direct affiliation with Harmonix, doesn't mean that they aren't still a band and they can license thier songs out to whoever they want/pays enough money. And besides, this song is perfect for the Nintendo DS platform. |

Nintendo console + Song about Game Boyz = epic lulz.
Now go find the Freezepop Sprite song and put it in one of those lymon commercials. Then we're talking. |

first off, an announcement from the duke, as well as a clarification of some messageboard rumors...
"Freezepop is very excited to announce our involvement with the new Guitar Hero : On Tour videogame for the Nintendo DS. Our song "I am not your GameBoy" which originally appeared on our album Fancy Ultra*Fresh seemed a perfect fit for the DS platform so we amp'd it up a bit to play well in the game! Freezepop has now released songs in 8 different games, from a variety of Harmonix titles to other games like DDR, FFR, and Downhill Domination. We are of course truly the most excited to be involved with Harmonix and the amazing music games that they create (we're sure you can understand the bias ;-) ) but we are also interested in reaching new fans from around the world and want to be open to many different opportunities as they arise. In terms of "selling out" to GH or any other game, we were kindly paid, but have made no more money on GH:OT than we did for Amplitude which was published by Sony way back in 2003. FWIW, we didn't get paid at all for our tracks in GH1, GH2, and RB1. For us, we just love being involved with videogames. Involving all of you fans and gamers with our music and letting you interact with our songs in the new and innovative ways that these games provide is extremely gratifying for us.
See you at PAX!"
from their myspace, they like just posted it... _________________
