idk i might be there we'll see. but to me sounds like pretty strict rules and stuff for a GH tournament...
Entry fee gets higher the tougher skill level you play on? wtf??
no hyperspeed? why????

Shit, I was thinking about going, but I'm not sure I want to pay 12.50 if I know you are going to be there baseballkid lol. I'm all for having fun at a tournament, but knowing I'm going to lose and having to pay over $10 is a little not my thing.

dress code was set by the venue and the group sponsoring the event, keep in mind quite a few of the players are children, and they had children as young as 6 years old as the last event.

I'm probably will not be there, I forgot I already made other commitments well ahead of time and will be out of town.

Those are the rules for the May 31st Tourney. IDK where the dress code came from but we never imposed any kind of dress code. The only problem anyone would've incurred along that line was if they were wearing an obviously offensive shirt. I.E. Nudity or profanity. As for the fee structure, we didn't want to bracket it up by age but more encourage everyone to play their skill level honestly. It has it benefits too. We paid out to the winner 20% of the total earnings for his skill level... So this one coming up, if we can get 40 people in each skill level, Expert would net 12.50x40=$500.00. 20% of that would be $100.00 to the winner. We're doing 1st,2nd, & 3rd place winners this time too. Here's the updated criteria. We're allowing hyperspeed this time too.

GH III
Tournament

How it works

4 skill levels
40 players maximum per skill level.

Easy: (Max. age limit 13yrs) entry fee $5.00 9am to 11am Registration from 8am to 9am

Medium: entry fee $7.50 11am to 1pm Registration from 8am to 11am

Hard: entry fee $10.00 1pm to 3pm Registration from 8am to 1pm

Expert: entry fee $12.50 1pm to 3pm Registration from 8am to 3pm

Tournament will be bracket style.
Round 1 40 players
Round 2 20 players
Round 3 10 players
Final Round 5 players
In the final round each player will play the same song.
Highest scores win 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place
2 players will play 1 song in Pro Face off mode.
High score advances.
In the event of a tie, players can either do battle heads up, or play 1 more song that the judge chooses.
In the event of an odd number of players I.E. 39, 37 etc etc… The odd man/woman out will play a song & based on his/her score, that person will knock out the lowest score of the remaining contestants in the first round.

No refunds will be given nor will you be able to opt into a different skill level to accommodate a schedule conflict so PLEASE make sure you can be there for the skill level you signed on for.

General admission is $2.00 per spectator.

Sodas, candy bars, chips $.50 ea
We will firer up the grill around 11am & will be serving Hotdogs & Cheeseburgers
Hotdogs $1.50 ea
Cheeseburgers $2.50 ea
