Not all software is going to work in Windows 7 without some workarounds such as permissions elevation, especially when it's three and a half years old.

It does work fine in Win7 though, even without fiddling with it... Provided your system is up-to-date, at least.

I just downloaded Feedback today and I like what I see, I'm already getting used to it and I can't wait to make easy versions of hard songs! xDD (I know I suck) But the game has already crashed about 6 times and I've only used it twice! And to add, I read TurkeyMan's first reply about how to get started making customs and I tried to follow these directions but I don't have a config.ini file, just two config files and I looked at both and couldn't find any thing saying "Song = " so I can't change it. When I go to new chart I can't see any of my ogg. files to select one to chart! Help please?? I'm so anxious. <_>

I cannot increase BPM, I can only decrease so when I chart my songs it doesn't work and I have to go out on a limb to find someone to chart my songs ;(

So please, If this is a common error tell me how to fix it. - Fallen

So I was forcing strums/hopos on a FOF chart, and when it came time to replace the events with N 5 0, I noticed that all the events were in their own separate section with the format(###### E "*"). when I tried replacing 'E "*"' with 'N 5 0', all the events in the section {EVENTS} were replaced, but I can still load the chart in Feedback, and in game nothing had changed. So I took a fresh copy, deleted the whole events section, and marked every note again(which was really time consuming). When I go to edit it, the events section is back and the events are all in that section instead of the {EXPERT SINGLE} section. What am I doing wrong? Can't post the chart here, because it is from the GH series, but I can PM it to you. Thank you!

-- CORRECTION: Actually, for some reason, it skips ahead 5/8 of a measure. --

Hello,

I've used dB for a couple years now, and everything was fine (except for the lag due to my older, slower computer).

For a while now I've had a newer computer but an annoying bug will happen most of the time.

The bug is: I press Space to play, but sometimes it will skip ahead a relative second or so in the chart and not in the music.
--
For example, let's say I have a chart with BPM being 120, my current position is on the 1st beat in a measure, and I'm 10 seconds into the song (00:10.000).

I press Space, and the music plays from that position, but the chart skips ahead, relative around a second, so that the time position in the CHART will start from 11 seconds into the song, but the time position in the MUSIC will start from 10 seconds. This also visually skips ahead in the chart.

This makes the music play 1 second behind the chart, although it's playing from the correct position, unlike the chart.
--
This leads to frustration as I tend to accidentally place a note(s) at the wrong position in the song. I'm wondering if this relates to offset value, but then again, it only skips ahead a second, despite the offset value.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I know I should probably try pirating windows before I complain about this but for some reason the Open_GL exe has no audio when I run it through WINE.

Is there a fix for this?

My mediafire account was recently suspended, so the mirror that was in the OP for a while is now dead.

edit: here's a new one for 0.96b, the version I used (0.97 had weird lag on some machines).

Sorry if gravedigging firstly. I started using feedback a little while ago to create a song. After a while it refused to open the chart so I left it. It opened once today and now refuses to open the chart at all. Anyone got any idea on how to fix this? cheers

Have you modified the chart file in any way outside of Feedback?
