Welcome to my accomplisments thread, which I recently cleaned up to look very... non-cluttered :P For each game you will find short little blurbs and rants, a list of FCs and near FCs, and a few other stuff depending on how much I've played the game so far. Cool, 65/70 GH3 FCs! This was really random; once I started using the hammerons in Aggro I got it right away. First run hitting Aggro was the FC; no devastating misses

So I earned a shiny new banner:



Hey look, 2 new FCs in GH3!

TTL was totally random ("Hey, I think I'll play Take This Life! oh look fc lulz) and NFMH just took a little break after my lolwut choke to FC (I actually FCed it twice in a row; my first run was a lower score than my 945 NS choke).

So yeah, 64/70... inconsistent with CoP; likely TWiE or FCP next. Raining Blood is, in fact, possible.

Yeah, I'm working at GH3 again. The game seems so much easier after playing finger-mangling customs on GH5... I literally FCed CoP solo on my first try thinking "wow, did I really have trouble with this before?"... TTL is a ton easier too. Maybe it's just the sheer awesomeness of the GH5 guitar

But what the hell... The last two notes? REALLY? Seriously, how the fuck? I hit the hardest parts of solo 3 and I miss the LAST TWO NOTES??? My jaw dropped when I saw my combo meter fall off the screen and heard that downward-bend sound... I stared at the newspaper for about a full minute in complete disbelief...

HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN?! Will FC...

I played some GH:SH vox today and Smoke on the Water was helluva lot easier than I remember. FCed it after 2 or 3 misses in the last verse. I hope to FGFC the game on vocals

The one time I FC Do You Feel Like We Do, I mess up the 2nd-to-last activation from nervousness. Ugh. I'm pretty worn out from grinding it upwards of 50 times, so I'll probably take a break. 900k is definitely possible.

Uh, so I started playing GH3 again. Yeah. Finally fucking FCed Before I Forget, and I have some incredibly frustrating misses on Number of the Beast (I actually missed on the LAST NOTE, but I guess that's good in a way because I fucked up the path and didn't even beat my old high score), Nothing For Me Here (Solo 1 miss and FC out, etc.), The Way it Ends (random misses in Bridge 2; FC everything else), and I totally unlearned Cult of Personality.

On the Smash Hits side of things, I got a shitload of vocal FCs and... a few guitar ones. Lol.

Holy shit, epic GH:M vocals weekend. In the past 3 days, I've gotten 8 FCs, and I've fucked up my Circadian rhythm to the point where I'm going to sleep at 6:00 AM and waking up at 2:00 PM... but who cares; it's summer Actually, I'm going to sleep now... I have to get back on a normal sleep schedule; at least sleeping before 3.

Oh yeah, so this also gave me a HALF GAME VOCALS FC! Twas awexome. I also realized I was singing "I don't want to live forever" wrong in Ace of Spades... going high when I should have been going low and vice versa But I finally got it along with tons of other upper bound scores.

Oh, I almost forgot. I also got 1st place back on Wii! Sorry, dark-echidna

So I recently discovered how much fun singing on GH:M is I would say I'm not half bad and it and I might actually consider myself a vocalist now. I've recently been singing more often than guitar So, to reflect this, I'm starting to show my vocal accomplishments here.

Been awhile since I updated this. Didn't make much sense to have it at the bottom of my thread so I moved it up here... anyway, however long ago, I got GH1, and just recently I got GH80s. However, just because life hates me, I woke up on Tuesday feeling ridiculously nauseous, dizzy, and with a sore throat. Oh boy. Went to the doctor's, had a 101 fever, came home and fucking slept. Woke up later and just watched AVGN all day... It's Thursday now and I've been out since Tuesday... I'm going back to school tomorrow, so that'll be the only day this week I'll be able to actually play it (going to that Botball thing on Saturday)... bleh.

Hooray, I FCed Knights of Cydonia. It sucks though; my SP wouldn't go off in the fast strummy parts (So I had to tilt lest I lose my combo; I suck at select activating in the middle of tremolos... at the beginning I'm fine, but not in the middle)... so I missed out on 600 points. WAAAH.

UPDATE 2/7/09: Finally got I'm In the Band... that took ridiculously long for some ungodly reason. Removed it from left-to-6* list. ANOTHER UPDATE: I AM THE BEAST! I RULE T3H FAST STRUMMING!!! DON'T HOLD BACK FC!!!! Also, if anyone recommends that I resize the pic, let me know. YET ANOTHER UPDATE: Whoo! Stricken FC! Thanks to NovaXD for his nineteen methods, and for showing me that I am best at third position throughout the hard solo parts.


UPDATE 2/4/09: Go That Far FCed!!! Yeah!!! Also, I 8*ed Story of My Life... I was so happy when I finished the last activation that I shouted "I'M HOME FREE!" and irritated my parents >_> But yeah, Go That Far was also removed from the Left-to-6* list since I FCed it.

UPDATE 1/10/09: So I got a ton of new FCs today. Black Sunshine, Down N' Dirty, Impulse, Welcome to the Jungle, and In Love. Also, since my last update (a looooong time ago), I've gotten some pretty insane ones like RYLaH (finally), Black Magic Woman (unbelievably random; my first run of my snow day on Wednesday happened to be this song and BAM! fluke FC), and many other lower-tier songs. Tiers 1-4 and 6 now FCed (Damn -1 on HiC!!!)

UPDATE 10/21/08: I am so fucking close to FCing RYLaH. I just hit all of Solos 1 and 2 in practice mode; the only thing I mess up in 3 is the , because of how the trill speeds up on the first repeat. I'll get it...

So I recently got this (last Sunday as of this update), and the HOPOs, I have to say, aren't as hard as everyone says... at least when they're in small groups >_> Like I could get the CFH quads and even the main riff if I tap the oranges, but you know, stuff like the BatM solo is still ridiculous...

I love this game; so glad I picked up a PS2 to get it. One thing I notice is that, unlike GH3, every single song in this game save for a few of the easiest all seem to have "that one hard part," making FCs much more challenging and rewarding than in GH3

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
This game doesn't deserve half the crap people give it. There are tons of ridiculously fun solos and charts, and the random strums feel more realistic and keep you on your toes. Of course, it's not perfect (graphics, and I will admit, the only song in which I absolutely hate random HOPOs is Let the Music Do the Talking... such strange HOPO placement) but it's still a very solid game. I'd gladly still pay full price for it today just as easily as I did a year ago.

Cool, 65/70 GH3 FCs! This was really random; once I started using the hammerons in Aggro I got it right away. First run hitting Aggro was the FC; no devastating misses

So I earned a shiny new banner:



Hey look, 2 new FCs in GH3!

TTL was totally random ("Hey, I think I'll play Take This Life! oh look fc lulz) and NFMH just took a little break after my lolwut choke to FC (I actually FCed it twice in a row; my first run was a lower score than my 945 NS choke).

So yeah, 64/70... inconsistent with CoP; likely TWiE or FCP next. Raining Blood is, in fact, possible.

Yeah, I'm working at GH3 again. The game seems so much easier after playing finger-mangling customs on GH5... I literally FCed CoP solo on my first try thinking "wow, did I really have trouble with this before?"... TTL is a ton easier too. Maybe it's just the sheer awesomeness of the GH5 guitar

But what the hell... The last two notes? REALLY? Seriously, how the fuck? I hit the hardest parts of solo 3 and I miss the LAST TWO NOTES??? My jaw dropped when I saw my combo meter fall off the screen and heard that downward-bend sound... I stared at the newspaper for about a full minute in complete disbelief...

I played some GH:SH vox today and Smoke on the Water was helluva lot easier than I remember. FCed it after 2 or 3 misses in the last verse. I hope to FGFC the game on vocals

The one time I FC Do You Feel Like We Do, I mess up the 2nd-to-last activation from nervousness. Ugh. I'm pretty worn out from grinding it upwards of 50 times, so I'll probably take a break. 900k is definitely possible.

Uh, so I started playing GH3 again. Yeah. Finally fucking FCed Before I Forget, and I have some incredibly frustrating misses on Number of the Beast (I actually missed on the LAST NOTE, but I guess that's good in a way because I fucked up the path and didn't even beat my old high score), Nothing For Me Here (Solo 1 miss and FC out, etc.), The Way it Ends (random misses in Bridge 2; FC everything else), and I totally unlearned Cult of Personality.

On the Smash Hits side of things, I got a shitload of vocal FCs and... a few guitar ones. Lol.

Holy shit, epic GH:M vocals weekend. In the past 3 days, I've gotten 8 FCs, and I've fucked up my Circadian rhythm to the point where I'm going to sleep at 6:00 AM and waking up at 2:00 PM... but who cares; it's summer Actually, I'm going to sleep now... I have to get back on a normal sleep schedule; at least sleeping before 3.

Oh yeah, so this also gave me a HALF GAME VOCALS FC! Twas awexome. I also realized I was singing "I don't want to live forever" wrong in Ace of Spades... going high when I should have been going low and vice versa But I finally got it along with tons of other upper bound scores.

Oh, I almost forgot. I also got 1st place back on Wii! Sorry, dark-echidna

So I recently discovered how much fun singing on GH:M is I would say I'm not half bad and it and I might actually consider myself a vocalist now. I've recently been singing more often than guitar So, to reflect this, I'm starting to show my vocal accomplishments here.

Been awhile since I updated this. Didn't make much sense to have it at the bottom of my thread so I moved it up here... anyway, however long ago, I got GH1, and just recently I got GH80s. However, just because life hates me, I woke up on Tuesday feeling ridiculously nauseous, dizzy, and with a sore throat. Oh boy. Went to the doctor's, had a 101 fever, came home and fucking slept. Woke up later and just watched AVGN all day... It's Thursday now and I've been out since Tuesday... I'm going back to school tomorrow, so that'll be the only day this week I'll be able to actually play it (going to that Botball thing on Saturday)... bleh.

Hooray, I FCed Knights of Cydonia. It sucks though; my SP wouldn't go off in the fast strummy parts (So I had to tilt lest I lose my combo; I suck at select activating in the middle of tremolos... at the beginning I'm fine, but not in the middle)... so I missed out on 600 points. WAAAH.

DON'T HOLD BACK FC!!!! Also, if anyone recommends that I resize the pic, let me know. YET ANOTHER UPDATE: Whoo! Stricken FC! UPDATE 1/10/09: So I got a ton of new FCs today. Black Sunshine, Down N' Dirty, Impulse, Welcome to the Jungle, and In Love. Also, since my last update (a looooong time ago), I've gotten some pretty insane ones like RYLaH (finally), Black Magic Woman (unbelievably random; my first run of my snow day on Wednesday happened to be this song and BAM! fluke FC), and many other lower-tier songs. Tiers 1-4 and 6 now FCed (Damn -1 on HiC!!!)

UPDATE 10/21/08: I am so fucking close to FCing RYLaH. I just hit all of Solos 1 and 2 in practice mode; the only thing I mess up in 3 is the , because of how the trill speeds up on the first repeat. I'll get it...

So I recently got this (last Sunday as of this update), and the HOPOs, I have to say, aren't as hard as everyone says... at least when they're in small groups >_> Like I could get the CFH quads and even the main riff if I tap the oranges, but you know, stuff like the BatM solo is still ridiculous...

I love this game; so glad I picked up a PS2 to get it. One thing I notice is that, unlike GH3, every single song in this game save for a few of the easiest all seem to have "that one hard part," making FCs much more challenging and rewarding than in GH3

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
This game doesn't deserve half the crap people give it. There are tons of ridiculously fun solos and charts, and the random strums feel more realistic and keep you on your toes. Of course, it's not perfect (graphics, and I will admit, the only song in which I absolutely hate random HOPOs is Let the Music Do the Talking... such strange HOPO placement) but it's still a very solid game. I'd gladly still pay full price for it today just as easily as I did a year ago.

I'm bumping this thread to ask two questions.

1) On Black Magic Woman, I notice that everyone is at least 400 below optimal. Now, I'm wondering: Is it the second squeeze that gives everyone fits? Because I have hit that at least 5 times before, no points missing from optimal at all, with some really insane timing window abuse. Sadly, I choked every time I did, but if I could FC the song with that squeeze, would that put me in first?

2) This thread is becoming really cluttered, and I want to add table of contents. Specifically, I want them set up like in zsjostrom35's incredible guides. How would I do this?
