I have started the preliminary workings of dlc customs. so far i have dumped my filesystem after dl'ing "Anything". This got me some files

\TITLE\00010005\73584145\CONTENT\000000f.app
\TITLE\00010005\73584145\CONTENT\0000008.app
\TITLE\00010005\73584145\CONTENT\0000009app
\TITLE\00010005\73584145\CONTENT\00000015.app
\TITLE\00010005\73584145\CONTENT\000000TITLE.TMD

000000F.APP was 23 MB so i ran it through a crap load of extractors until one worked: u8tool! u8 spat me some more files:

DLC7_anims.pak.ngc
DLC7_song.pak.ngc
DLC7_text.pak.ngc
DLC7_text_*.pak.ngc *f,g,i,s (assuming something to do with language)
and DLC7.bik

When opening up bik in vlc and looking at the codecs there are 47 streams available, mixed between audio mpga and video mpgv. this is the extent of how far i got without looking too far into things.
Right now im looking at rad video tools to figure out the audio.
Anybody have any suggestions or ideas? or has this format been done for other systems (i currently have only looked at gh3 wii customs.)

Wait, so you're saying that official DLC content is already available for the Wii?

Interesting. But I guess that, when you copy the DLC to the SD card, some part of it (the "ticket"?) stays on the Wii NAND.

Anyway, it's good to see that there's a viable possibility for customs without modchip/ISO loader

BTW, do mods agree talking about GH:WT modding here before the game is released? (1 day, anyway).

I opened up DLC7.bik in rad tools and got 7 audio files. first 3 were drums, 4th was guitar, 5th bass. i pretty sure 6 was the background noise or something and 7 was the vocal track. none of the other streams contained any audio and a few contained 2x2 pixel video (!?!).

Then for the chart (hope) i opened DLC7_song.pak.ngc with pakeditgui.exe and it gave me more files:

D4783890 (no extention) contained lyrics, i think:

bc3b1104 "\L=el"
687a2edb "\L=er"
21873f9b "\L=gy"
09d2e358 "\L=in'"
f9abac5d "\L=ing"
0b443267 "\L=mon"
de94e848 "\L=na"

and that went on for a while.
it also gave me:

dlc7_song_scripts.qb.ngc (probably not important for customs)
dlc7.mid.qb.ngc (could this be the midi chart!?!)

now i have tried a few qb editors but all of them say it is invalid, because they are for gh3. is there like a raw qb viewer that doesn't do anything fancy?

i just did the same thing but with everlong.bik from the wii disc itself, i opened it in rad tools and extracted the 7 audio streams

0 - drums
1 - drums
2 - cymbal/hi-hat
3 - guitar
4 - bass
5 - vocals
6 - preview

im going to make my own preview, delete track 6 from the .bik and put in my own and ill tell you if it plays ingame if it does ill replace them all and see what happens then.

the notes for the songs are still .pak.ngc which is good.......maybe GZ can update his tools to support WT pak files

on a side note.......when i connect to the wii store it says no songs are there to be found?.....is this because im in the UK

PAK Editor doesn't work with GHWT-NGC? It did with GHWT-PS2

yes, pak editor works. as i extracted the songlist.qb with it

what i meant was......qb gen would need an update wouldnt it? to support the world tour note charts.

also, i dont know if i missed this but how do you extract .chart files out of .qb?

Yes, it will need an update. I hope to publish the GH:WT mid.qb spec soon (just vocal tracks left).

About converting .qb to .chart, for GH3 and GHA you can use QB2Chart, for GHWT there isn't any public tool to do it.

how long does qb2chart take? im extracting the everlong chart but its just giving me a 0kb chart file. is it possible that the guts of the notes qb were adjusted slightly and now qb2chart is just looking in the wrong area?
