Trust me, once you've FCed solo B once, you will only get more and more consistent until you'll wonder why it was ever hard. Eventually you (may) reach a point where it will just be a case of FCing solo C in a run, or at least that's what happened with me. My first solo B FC wasn't long before the final FC run. For solo B, I get my elbow ready to strum as soon as the solo a triplets begin. I literally tap the first strum note of B1, no transition required as such.
As for C2, everybody has problems with it, and I'm sure that many, myself included could say it's the hardest part of the song. What I did was one hand the mini RY trill that immediately follows the strums, and then begin tapping the highest note of the asc. trips. There's one blue note that I had to strum, I missed it all the time and I'm not sure if it's broken, but if you do miss a blue note, elbow strum it from then on, it increased my consistency by quite a bit. There's a break after the final asc. trip, so make sure you wait a split second before playing the sweeps after the trips. The strums pre-mess can also play up at times, but if that's not the problem then there is no problem. Hope something helped out of all that.

Only piece of advice I can give you would be to strum on time for the fast strumming bit. It shouldn't be necessary to abuse the timing window there, which is very inconsistent. For the rest make sure you stick to one specific method, muscle memory will kick in eventually. I actually one-hand everything but C3 and C4 (sometimes I don't even tap those) and it works when I don't fuck up or underestimate the speed.

Funny story about Trogdor, when I got the FC last year, it was on a super huge, not widescreen TV that didn't display PAL mode correctly, so I hooked the game up to my capture card so I could pay attention to both the sound coming from the game and the visuals from the preview when I captured it.

This year when I FC'd the hard chart, it was in fact on an HDTV that displayed PAL mode correctly. Maybe it has something to do with being a flat-screen?

Regardless, it is indeed a fairly grueling grind, and I wish you the best of luck in getting these FCs... when you decide to go for them, of course.

Trogdor? That's insane!

I know it's very difficult to hit GH2 strumming at all, best hopes to going for the whole song! I know that songs with irregular strumming or engine problems can be a huge test of patience to grind, but hitting it once is the hardest part.
