Does anyone know of any good plastic mic stands? There was one from MadCatz advertized in Game Informer, but it's $30 and I don't know if it's high enogh for me (53 inches) to stand and voxtar. Any suggestions?

Your sig says you have a 360, is that the system you play GH on? Because if it is, you could just use an XBox live headset; no stand required.

There are lots of easy (and free) alternates to a mic stand. You could put a chair or something that comes close to your height in front of you and scotch tape a mic to that. You could also just play sitting down with the mic on a table or something.

I put it up my shirt and then to activate SP i either yell or if i want it to be quiet biting the top of the mic with my teeth (creates a sound very loud to the mic but very quiet to everyone else

There are hundreds of ways to make a ghetto mic stand, buying one for GHWT isn't necessary. You just need to get creative. The most common one, I think, is using a real sheet music stand for a mic stand, which is what I do half the time. The other half of the time, I have an elaborate mic stand made from a Dean V guitar (lol) and two "weights" on either side to keep it standing. I sit down for that one, but I can stand up for the music stand (I'm about 5'10").
