When im about to swap my disc for the custom disc, my PS2 laser stops right at the top of the disc, the disc slows down and then speeds up and the laser stays there!!!! any help?

Are you sure you're doing it at the EXACT time? If it's a fat PS2 it may do that a lot 'cuz my fat took a lot longer to read it than the slim (IDK WHY).

no no no....i meant the GH2 disc when its about to go onto the Activision logo and Harmoix logo the laser will stop ALL BEFORE THAT HAPPENS!! So i think the disc is scratched because it never happened before

your laser, youve been swapping too much, try a direct method, like esr or memento, or a modchip, everything else including swap magic, will screw up your laser

I have to ask... where does the assumption Swap Magic will damage the laser come from? I could understand it if you went the route of "If you only play copied games you'll wear the central point out quicker due to the constant removal of discs" or something, but being that the laser has stopped, and is doing nothing whatsoever when you switch discs... it's also pretty impossible to damage the laser.

Unless of course using the PS2 for its intended purpose damages the console as well of course.
