I'm saying that there are no notes in the charts
That's what they look like.

All my program does is uses the tools that are currently available on the forums to extract charts so that it does not manually have to be done, and since nobody has managed to do this properly with GH:WT and GH:M, the charts will not come out as they are in the game.

As soon as a tool is available to perfectly extract these charts, i will implement it in my program.

I only just recently joined the GH modding community, so I don't know too much about the specifications of charts and such. I created my program because I realised that it was a tedious job to do what I had tried and eventually learned to do.

Exams are finishing in a few weeks, I will hopefully get my coding up to scratch and help this community out. I have been making windows batch scripts for as long as I remember, but I'm relatively new to high level coding like C and Java...so bear with me.

I hope you find my tool useful anyhow

BTW, thanks for your support and feedback

Any chance you can add support for x360 Iso's (Rather than direct from disc ) ?

No, however, i have two alternative suggestions:

1. use 7zip to open the iso and extract the files.

You can then use:

chartExtractor [path to files]

2. use a virtual drive such as Virtual Clone Drive or Daemon Tools

you can then use

chartExtractor [path to virtual disk]

Of course, you can run the program without parameters and enter the path within the program

Also, I don't know if this will work for XBox 360, as the file structure may be different, but you can test this for me if you want

Will try them both as soon as i have copied my GH discs back to my pc , i'll post back in this tread with results.

So, if the software works with GH:WT and GH:M... theoretically should work with GH:SH... Right?

im sure he can update it to work with smash hits (it also depends if smash hits uses the same file types as GH:wt/m) all he would have to do is update the .bat file.

i don't have a copy of SH to test. File structure should hopefully be the same as GH:M.

Exams for me finish at the end of the week, maybe i can get a copy when and also get onto adding GH1, 2 and 80s support

EDIT:
SH isn't even out yet ;) but when it is, i will have a look

Your program does not appear to work on XP. I specify the DVD drive or even if I copy it to the hard drive, and specify the folder, all it does it make a folder called charts and remove the extension from the batch file and the readme file.

Any ideas?

Make sure the path to the files is absolutely correct. Try copy to a path without spaces. If you need spaces, include the path in inverted commas. A space may register as another parameter, which is not what you want

You can also try entering a path without a "\" at the end of the path.

Tell me how it goes!

That happened to me, but downloading the newest version fixed it.

I got my GH : Metallica (PS2) disk today. I tried to use this program, it gives me two errors:

-One is when it detects the disk at drive and asks me like if the drive letter is correct, I press "Y" and hit Enter, but then nothing happens and that .bat file converts itself into a unknown file type.

-Or when the program tells me that all the charts were copied in the Charts folder (the program tells this 10 seconds after I hit "Y"), I check the folder and I can't see anything.

This has driven me crazy, what can I do for this.?

what operating system are you running?

Do you have admin rights?

Also, which version of the chart extractor are you using?
