Really? I think there are more "easy" FCs in this game than GH2. (Hey, I Love Rock & Roll, I Wanna Be Sedated, Killer Queen, Fat Lip, Sail Your Ship By, Story Of My Love, Hey You, Unsung, and supposedly Behind The Mask come to mind.)

Are the GH1 HOPOs as bad as people make them sound?
Becuase in the short time I've seen you going for GH1, you've gotten 20 FCs and most of them will have HOPOs to some extent.
Just wondering.

| Richard, I can't speak for Jon. However, most people I know have to strum every HOPO. I sometimes try to play GH3 GH1 style just for the fun of it, and I'm okay, I guess. But yeah, HOPOs are shit, and Jon's a beast for having 20 FCs. |

Yeah the only hopos I've used in a GH1 FC are the low notes in the Frankenstein trill.

Oh come now. Fudrick is the beast. Frankenstein, Decontrol, and Cowboys From Hell FCs?! Sick.
By the way, GH1 HOPOs are really bad, but there are several songs in which there isn't a section with fast HOPOs to speak of. That makes getting way more than 3 FCs not as difficult of an accomplishment as you'd suspect. Also, you just have to practice altstrumming the fast solos. I still am not "good" at it, but I'm getting somewhat better. It's definitely a skill you need to practice.
These are the most common 25 GH1 FCs, with the ones without HOPO solos/HOPO sections (or fairly easy HOPO solos/sections) in bold. GH1 is more doable than you think.

The bolded songs near the end of the list tend to have a fast strumming section of some sort, which explains why they aren't higher up on the list even though they lack a difficult solo. The fast strumming's another difficult part. It's a pretty tight engine, but I don't think it's THAT much tighter than GH2. But it does mean that there are some fairly impressive FCs you can still get (Cochise, for instance) while sucking at strumming HOPO solos.

I find GH1 strumming looser than GH2 or RB strumming at times.

The Breaking Wheel is actually pretty doable with some time window abuse for the intro. (I play them as gallops). I find myself breaking combo at least once though in some random place due to the tempo changes. But I have gotten pretty close on it.
Anyway. Bump for Pride and Joy FC.

What I don't see is why you still have a Closer FC banner in your sig...
I don't know... Judging by this, I could have a LOT more FC's. Welcome to the Jungle isn't really that hard so that must mean that a lot of songs are in the list of songs that I can FC. *Keeps rambling on*

It's a joke poking fun at people who have "Insert-brag-song-here FC club". Since everyone's FCed Closer, it's just sort of a sarcastic jab.

It's 85th globally. It's 19th on the Wii.
It's not Metal Heavy Lady hard, but it is pretty difficult.

Wow, I've got some pretty nice scores on MNiJ and MHL and PotR but nothing good enough for a top global 100.
Be proud of yourself man. Now go do Jungle, CoP and RaRaN. Oh yeah, and MHL.
