Hey SH, i was wondering if i was alone here, because today i was broke down to tears by Dude (I totally Miss You) by Tenacious D. That may sound weird but I was thinkin of my big brother who moved out and how my mom was going insane and I felt alone Anyways, i was wondering if there was any song that has made you cry either because it was so beautiful or something

Thanks-Lunchb0x!

Forever Young.

It makes me realize that I won't be young forever and death is an inevitability.

"Alive" and "Black", both by Pearl Jam.

Tears. Lots of them.

Hmm.. This has never happened to me, ever. Sure, songs touch me, but not enough to ever make me cry or break down. Even if they did at any point I'm assuming that I was already in that state or close to it. I even listen emo and none of it makes me want to cry.

There are a lot of songs that have a nostalgic element to them for me, and they can change my mood for hours, sometimes good or bad. Corduroy and Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam are big ones, along with every single song off of Hang Ups by Goldfinger.

Alive is about sexual abuse.

Also, the only one that's ever really done that for me is Bent by Matchbox Twenty, if you don't count Spiderwebs by No Doubt, but that one's only because it reminds me of someone.

Oh, and a lot of you will "wtf" at this one, but Prequel to the Sequel by BTBAM; read the lyrics, and yes I'm serious.

Serious advice now: No-one likes indecision in their work, so find what you like that you're even remotely good at, and stick with it. Don't flit from one thing to another, because that just smacks of a large lack of determination and drive. And people don't like you for that, and won't remember you for it. I mean, I get that you have a plucky spirit and a willingness to try new things, but there's a limit, man.
I might knock it down to just Thursday and Friday.

I mean, if you study the lyrics and that's really the only thing you take from the song, then sure. I suppose the song can break you down... But it's such an upbeat and epic song. I've never seen anybody look close to sad while listening to that song, if anything it's more of a song that brings you up.

I've never been made sad by a song or ever wanted to cry while listening, but The Mantle by a band called Agalloch makes me space the fuck out and I get lost sometimes when I listen to that album. Atmospheric like crazy.

Also, Selkies: The Endless Obsession is the most beautiful song I've ever heard in my life. It doesn't make me cry though.
