Alright, I wrote the following drum track to test the theory out (X = Kick):
G
O
B
Y
R
X
All of the above with a kick

GO
GB
GY
GR
OB
OY
OR
BY
BR
YR
All of the above with a kick

This video shows what happens when you play the above track in GHWoR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjZxvJrVqjU
Left is the GHWT kit, right the RB kit.

The table below shows the conversion results for both GHWT and GHWoR with the above track.

Code:
--------+-------+-------+
 Track  |  GHWT   | GHWoR   |
--------+-------+-------+
G       | G     | G     |
O       | B     | G     |
B       | B     | B     |
Y       | Y     | Y     |
R       | R     | R     |
X       | X     | X     |
--------+-------+-------+
GX      | GX    | GX    |
OX      | BX    | GX    |
BX      | BX    | BX    |
YX      | YX    | YX    |
RX      | RX    | RX    |
--------+-------+-------+
GO      | GB    | GB    |
GB      | GB    | GB    |
GY      | GY    | GY    |
GR      | GR    | GR    |
--------+-------+-------+
OB      | GB    | GB    |
OY      | BY    | GY    |
OR      | BR    | GR    |
--------+-------+-------+
BY      | BY    | BY    |
BR      | BR    | BR    |
--------+-------+-------+
RY      | RY    | RY    |
--------+-------+-------+
GOX     | GBX   | GBX   |
GBX     | GBX   | GBX   |
GYX     | GYX   | GYX   |
GRX     | GRX   | GRX   |
--------+-------+-------+
OBX     | GBX   | GBX   |
OYX     | BYX   | GYX   |
ORX     | BRX   | GRX   |
--------+-------+-------+
BYX     | BYX   | BYX   |
BRX     | BRX   | BRX   |
--------+-------+-------+
RYX     | RYX   | RYX   |
--------+-------+-------+

In GHWT:
O -> Blue, unless Blue is already present, then it will be Green

In WoR:
O -> Green, unless Green is already present, then it will be Blue

My guess is that the GH5 conversion works similar?

It's a safe assumption that GH5/BH/GH:WoR all react the same as they are the same engine. Interesting that they would change it like that, weird.

The reason for the change from the standard O charting to Green now instead of Blue like WT was that it made some odd to play charts in the WT days apparently.

I think it charted to Blue ONLY for WT so you might want to check Metallica/Smash Hits/Van Halen to make sure how those chart if you can.

It's too extensive to check everything, but here's Dyer's Eve on X+ on RBDrums and the path (just imagine the X+ bass notes yourself):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxVasarawIU
http://pathhero.codemann8.com/view.php?path=5635
Notice how all oranges in the intro are blues.
At 1:49 you'll find Measure 131: all oranges are blues.

Here's Raining Blood on X+ on youtube and path:
http://pathhero.codemann8.com/view.php?path=4690
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ4_aTbyv1E

Again, all oranges are blue. e.g.: the first orange once the BG parts end, and at 1:26 measure 48 starts.

And from VH: Intruder / (Oh) Pretty woman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUo6J7F8qw8
http://pathhero.codemann8.com/view.php?path=8187

First note.

Despite GH:VH's release being later than GH5's, it still uses the WT engine, I believe. I see no reason why the same conversion shouldn't hold true for every song in GH:WT, GHM, GHVH and GHSH.

You can't verify every chart's correctness. Well, you can, but it'd take time.

For those who want to see what I have started, and trust me its just a start...a program that will take any kind of GH note file (MID/QB/NOTE) and output text information and images for all the charts.

All I have now is NOTE files working and no images get generated and some information is missing but most of the essential stuff is there. But, just an idea as to what you can expect with this program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/charthero/files_beta

Edit: Updated OP with this info

I just realized that the program I uploaded to SourceForge was a 64-bit version. Although that is better, some people won't be able to run it on 32-bit machines. I have added both 64-bit and 32-bit versions.

I have, since the initial release, finished a bunch of the code and am working through the imaging portion. When you download the program, also download the examples and open the .NOTE file with the GH6 .DBG file and see the results. I have completed the entire portion involving interpreting the NOTE file and displaying the contents.

In addition I've begun the imaging part. In order to run this, you must have ImageMagick installed first. Once that is installed and you run this program, you will see a million black screens pop up one after another, that is the imaging process. It takes forever now, I will be working to get it sped up a bit.

The chart images will save to a folder called Temp/TEST at the same location the EXE is running. You will notice other temporary files in there as well, those are just byproducts of the imaging process to cache images that are used often in the final image. You will notice everything shows except for notes and scores, I haven't gotten that far yet.

Someone please offer me some feedback about how this works (does/doesn't?)

NOTE files are the only functional type of file that works. I don't have much time as I once used to, to work on this more.
