This is the kind of news that should be exhilarating but only prompts suspicion... we'll just have to see where it goes. _________________

Well this is a breath of fresh air! ThoughI see you've already started debating about everything else imaginable in thaty other thread after such a close call...
Though I'm mainly concerned about the fate of DJ Hero! Come on! Throw FSG a bone!
EDIT: The DJ Hero twitter seems to be regarding it as good news for their franchise too, so maybe there's hope for them. |

I hardly play rhythm games anymore, but if in 10 years they start to get popular again you can bet your ass I'll pick up a peripheral at least once. _________________

This is great news. I knew they wouldn't just completely stop the games forever. Also, lol that they called Smash Hits "pop-focused"

Depends on your definition of pop, really. If by pop, you mean stuff like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, a lot of Band Hero, etc. then well, of course not.
But if you mean pop as in popular, then yeah, its right. The game is based around some of the most popular songs in the GH games. It's based entirely around pop, in the GH sense.
Not saying that that is what they meant, but it makes sense. _________________

Doesn't really matter to me either way. The newer games aren't that competitive, which is my only lure when it comes to Guitar Hero...I mean, I could go back to drums since I was naturally good at them, but I don't know... _________________

I thought the same thing, didn't think this was a surprise. Nothing in the original press release or whatever that was said they were never ever making it again. _________________

The problem was that it was pretty vague. Everyone was fired, everything shutdown, last bit of DLC released, and just now they are saying it's not over? They certainly were riding the shit out of the publicity it got before finally saying "Oh, yeah we are just taking a break". |

Which is exactly what I said in the original thread about this subject. So, it's not a surprise if you ask me. If it's on hiatus, then it makes sense to not keep everyone employed and to fire everyone involved. _________________
