...man..what you guys come up with.....
I'm gonna go with no. Part of all upstrum/downstrum is the fact that you can no longer alt strum...which destroys some parts of some songs...using multiple fingers, like a bass player...gets around that to a degree. _________________

It's not alt-strumming, it's actually very hard to pull off at the speed of those orange notes, I figured that as long I was strumming UPWARDS then it would be fine

So I'm either a genius or a retard...I'm gonna guess the latter. _________________

Good luck everyone! |

yes..you would be more competitive in AA2. In fact, you would be overly competitive in AA2. I understand it sucks being stuck in the next higher league, where you may have no chance to win. To honor your request, I took your scores, and plugged them into the current AA2 results. You ended up in first place with a commanding 14 point advantage over 2nd place... While you may feel that would be great for you...The 24 members of AA2 would deem it unfair. |
Oh...sry i didnt realize i would have gotten 1st with cloud and kaiser and some others in there, its fine. _________________

Simply put, you better pull way ahead of me this week, because I'm sure weeks 3 and 4 won't be nearly as bad for me. _________________

I'm an upstrummer...should I switch to downstrum for the twist or am I just lucky this week? _________________

I think the basic assumption of the upstrum twist is that most people are downstrummers by default, so if you're a natural upstrummer, then you should switch to downstrum for the twist song. Levels the playing field, so to speak. _________________

I'm an alt-strummer -- and that's what is being discouraged for the twist. Honestly, I wouldn't care if someone downstrummed as long as they ONLY down-strummed. TBH, I still get confused as to which way is up and which way is down since relative to my view of the guitar and relative to the ground are different, but if I have it right, I favor up-strumming to down-strumming. (I bet I don't, though.) |

I found the transition to up-strum only to be not all that bad. The only real trouble is the series of fast Os in the bridge. |
