Target is selling Guitar Hero 2

yeah i checked 6 differnet targets today and yesterday in the chicago land area none of which had it

I just tried Ann Arbor on Waters, nothing.

Called the one in Ypsi on carpenter and they had a hell of a time trying to figure out what I was talking about. Wonder if I should head out there, they sound inept enough to have it on the shelf...

Anyone wanna try the Ypsi one on Carpenter my Meijer?

To Dreyvas and others in the central OH area. I just bought the last copy from the Olentangy Rd. Target near the Ohio State campus. There may be more at the Target in Dublin, OH, but I'm not sure.

Just so you guys are on the up and up, there is a notice out telling all stores to take GHII back off the shelf and keep it off until 11/7, so unless you can schyster your way into a copy, you might have to wait it out.

But you can call your local Target store and have them check for backroom locations for the following item number:

207-12-1708
207-12-1707

I don't recall which one is the bundle and which one is just the game, but the bundle probably shouldn't be in the majority of stores right now.

You might be able to get a copy, but only if the Electronics people are unaware of the notice sent out today to all stores.

Thanks for the heads up, JRyder.

Tried two San Jose locations ("Landess" and "College Park") over lunch. First one had a half-dozen GH1 copies, but no GH2. Second one had a big ol' empty spot next to the DDR pads where Guitar Hero stuff was likely to be, so it either sold out or got pulled back into storage. Ah well.

(Target did have the Jones Soda Holiday pack sitting out, though. Antacid-flavored soda FTW.)

The game's beatable in 5 or 6 hours, probably less. So just wait it out, get it on tuesday...it's not like your skill's going to skyrocket over the weekend, and it's not like JCirri will put up rankings until probably the 10th or the 11th, so hold up until tuesday comes.

Game over at Target.

They finally got their act together and legit hardlocked Guitar Hero II. Since the register system is global, I have to assume that it's hardlocked across the country.

Sucks that I WORK at Target and somehow didn't get my act together and get a copy.

Oh well.
