ES, It seems like you should *maybe* consider something different at the end.

With glancing at your chart, it seems that you should use the first two SPs you get (that you have going towards your last activation) right away, skip the third, and then whammy the fourth to get another activation at the end.

If you do this, you should be able to whammy those first two a little so you have more than a half bar (so overall between the two activations you have a little more than a full bar). Also, it looks like you would get more points this way because the part where you would have the new activation is more densely packed with notes.

I might be wrong (as I often am), but it might help.

ok..the big difference between my strategy and yours is hte 4th star power activation. You use yours immediately after the ascending run. I wait until the next star power comes up on a decensing run (ending with the green note_, not whammy that green note at all, and activate at the end. This way you get all of those dense solo notes in there, as well as the main theme chords for a while. This also means I probably get less notes at the end of the song..but those have all those long single note holds anyway.

give it a whirl and see if it improves your score. my strat nailed me a first on hard until echelar found a way to squeek out a couple thousand points.

Oh.. I also whammy the green and blue notes you have X'd out...but then activate the 3rd star power (yellow note) right away instead of waiting for the end of the hold

I am not sure if this is different from what the kovinc said. Let me know if this makes no sense..I can post a pic of my strat.

Yup. That mirrors my strategy exactly. Let me know if you nail it and it helps your score. I'm nowhere near good enough on expert for me to get a top 5 score here.

Oh..and question. What filter/effect did you use in photoshop for your picture? I dig the effect!

I didn't use photoshop, i used Macromedia Fireworks MX. Here's a little map of the different effects.
