Look in your Users Manual or fiddle with your on-screen menus and look for a setting called 'Game Mode'.
Setting this to ON on our HDTV fixed the lag! _________________

I was playing at Best Buy one day, after playing at my friend's house, and the Best Buy people had it hooked up to a small LCDish tv, and there was a MAJOR lag. I think I failed "Hey You" on medium, which I hadn't failed on expert at my friends house, in which she plugs her PS2 into a regular ol' magnavox something or other.
TV's...if they're not broke, don't fix 'em. I don't like this overpriced digital revolution |

I've been playing on a 120" projection.
I've not noticed any lag using RCA connections. I'll be using component to VGA in the next week, so we'll see how that goes.
The cable DID NOT cost $200 as suggested. I paid $33 TOTAL for the cable & 2 PS2 6' extension cables . . . SHIPPED. |

I haven't noticed any lag on my HDTV, maybe I'm one of the lucky ones. I've talked with a couple of friends that have LCD's and they've said that both of their sets have some big time lag issues outside of the game mode (David has a 42" JVC, and my friend Ian has a 50" Aquos).
My current set up is a Mitsubishi WS55-513 (55" CRT based HDTV, with build in tuner, supports up to 1080i), my PS2 connected via component video inputs, with opitical audio output that's processed by my Denon AR-2804 (700-watt DD, DTS 7.1 reciever). Neither my video nor audio has issues, that I've noticed at least. _________________

GH2 will have a sync feature (a slider, I think), to adjust timing a bit to try and compensate for laggy tvs. _________________

I'm opposite because I either play in our living room (52'' Wide Screen HDTV) or downstairs. (58'' Big Screen HDTV) Now I play it in my room on a 24'' TV and I sucked for a week. |

it's all on what you're most comfortable with. to me, i'm better on my 25' TV in my room than i am on the big 42' TV (both regular, my parents won't even let me bring the PS2 anywhere near the 40' LCD TV.) |
