I just listened to your BatM vid because I kept choking at the last phrase (whoa who whoa bark at the moon) Wow, have to sing like THAT? Could they have charted it any more awkward? It sounds nothing like the song. Great job, taozack, but how did you figure out that pitch? |

Step 1: Listen the phrase several times.
Step 2: Cut the sound and hold some notes, when it becomes yellow it's the right pitch, until you get each little section.
Step 3: Put it all together and practice.
Took me less than half an hour (more like twenty minutes actually) to get it consistently (not perfectly though, but it's still fine enough to get an excellent)
Did the same for Electric Eye and Back In The Saddle, etc.
Edit: But it's still weird and awkward to sing _________________

20 Minutes for each phrase? Wow, you must be really dedicated.
(I did the same thing today for 4 Expert Vox FCs ) |

I prefer to do the phrase again and again in practice to be sure not to miss it in real run and restart like THE WHOOOLE SONG over and over
But that 15-20 minutes is only for the hardest phrases that has weird pitches. Other than that, when I have the technical FC in practice I just go for it. I even real run sightread some if they're not long, without training. _________________
