I'm quite a fan of DCI, actually, and surprised that anyone else has heard of it, lol. I've seen multiple DCI events live, which were all really cool. You also seem to like the Blue Devils, which is cool. I have stuff from them on my iPod, actually. Either the Blue Devils or the Cavaliers are my favorite corps.
But yeah, DCI is pretty awesome stuff. Maybe some other people on Scorehero know about it... _________________

I have a bunch of friends in drum corps this year, one of my best friends actually marches Snare for Santa Clara Vanguard.
I would try out for a bass drum spot but I don't have the time commitment. Maybe when I graduate from high school or something. But yeah, I love DCI _________________

I love DCI, the Phantom Regiment are actually based in my hometown, so I've grown up on the stuff. I play baritone, so I could imagine doing it in the future for fun. _________________

Yeah I learned a lot about DCI once I joined band this past year. I actually saw one of their broadcasts live in a movie theater! They're very impressive! I don't know if I have a favorite band though. _________________

I'm actually not a blue devils fan at all, they just have some fun to watch videos on youtube. I'm actually a Blue Coats/Cavaliers/Phantom Regiment fan
I'm a mello player and will be going out to pioneer next year even though there not that close to ohio and I hope to make Blue Coats 2-3 years from now. _________________

Honestly never heard of DCI before now, but I'm very impressed, especially by the synchronization of movements in the first vid you linked, and that guy's tenor drum solo.
I suppose the odds are pretty low that one of you guys could estimate his NPS during some of his faster bursts? A BPM estimate would work too... I can do 16th gallops and similar rhythms at over 300 tempo, but that's with drumming with my hands on a hard surface. I'd probably be much slower with sticks. Also I can't do bursts of any more than 5 notes at that speed... so I could do like a dadada da dadada da dadadadada da da da da da da da but not like a dadadadadadada dadadadadadada partly because my left hand is a lot slower than my right. I kinda wish I had a drum set. _________________

Most of dci is what you see in the first video and others like it.

There is actually not that much of the other stuff(like the tenor solo) but those videos are fun to watch. As far as a nps guess if you give me a specific second in the video(example :36-37) I can probably give you a very good guess using audacity. _________________

I'm an insanely big fan of drum corps. My brother has marched trumpet at Troopers for three years, and I was one away from a bass spot there (I'm fifteen and a twenty year old beat me ). _________________
