Just played this in Quest mode.

Easily my most fun GH moment ever. Played the entire song singing along. The character animation was great. I kept getting goosebumps.

There's certainly something to be said for "challenging" songs, but just plain flat out great song craft is sorely underrated (IMO) on these forums.

Definitely not a difficult song, but one of the best *songs* included in a GH game.

Kudos.

Don't know about best, but so far a pretty well rounded song. It's solid to play and extremely entertaining. I love when they go headbanging after the soft part is over. I may not have wanted this Queen song in the game, but it's still pretty great lol

I usually get goosebumps just by listening to the song.

The animation is among the best (that floor madness in Psychobilly Freakout is still <3) and the song is top tier fun. I would have picked another Queen song though (or more than one )

For me best. There's only been a few moments where I've smiled despite myself. The solo to Sweet Child O' Mine and this song. Being able to play the music "note for note" is something special. Because the music is something special.

Out of curiosity, what songs would you vote for ahead of BH? Not including Brighton Rock Solo.

Bohemian Rhapsody's mo-capping was the single greatest moment in GH history, and I am in no way exaggerating.

As much as the piano charting bugs me, I was prepared for it going in...and the mocap seriously made up for it.

It makes perfect sense to chart it. Who wants to sit there for how ever long it is playing nothing?

I love piano (and synth and trumpets and whatever) charting on songs. I really cant understand why people get annoyed by it. Heck even HMX is effectively sayign that its okay to chart all piano to guitar, and all guitar to piano (in a sense) by making it so in RB3 you can play either type of part with either instrument. I may or may not get the keyboards bundle, and I sure as hell am going to play and look forward to playing tons of keyboard charts on the guitar in either case. So for a series that doesnt have the benefit of a keyboards peripheral, I just think of the guitar part as the guitar/keyboards part.. ;)

The game was still in alpha, and a lot can change between an alpha build and a release build. Not sure why, but I know for a fact that a lot of other songs were shuffled around since then for the final build of the game. IIRC, Chemical Warfare was in Lars' chapter at one point. Hooray for progression revisions!

I'm kind of a mixed bag when it comes to charting other instruments. Sometimes I'm glad other instruments aren't charted, such as on What I've Done, where we had a bit of piano at the start that no one played, letting the song build up. And likewise, I'm disappointed by when non-guitar parts are charted to fill up a few seconds of space, i.e. The Middle (Seriously, why the hell chart that small bit of synth?) or Afterlife's string intro.

On the other hand, I do like a lot of non-guitar bits. Superstition, Do It Again, Du Hast and Let's Dance spring to mind, as it adds some variation, not fills up a small bit of space that doesn't need to be filled. And I do wish that some songs had synth charted, Call Me on Rock Band immediately comes to mind for that.

BoRap is fine for what it does, I'd say. It's mostly piano, so it makes sense to chart that to guitar, at least. A lot more sense than the really short bit of Piano from Killer Queen at the start.

Basically, it all comes down to the song.

Bohemian Rhapsody's mocap is absolutely amazing. That was easily one of the greatest GH moments ever, tied with This Day We Fight against the Beast and the first time I saw TTFAF :p

Well done guys. I love it.
