Oh, SaGa Frontier 1 - fun.
SaGa Frontier 2 - Good but not as good. Has its own charm.
Unlimited SaGa - DO NOT TOUCH WITH A 5000 FOOT POLE. |

Yeah, I actually own it, and played it seriously about 9 years ago! So I don't remember it at all now...all I remember is that I did enjoy it. Wonder if I should replay it? _________________

Wish I would have read this last year when I wasted a rental on that damn Unlimited SaGa!!! That had to have been one of the worst games ever! Period.
But anyway, so is SaGa Frontier on PS1? I might have to check it out if it's that good. Can't believe I overlooked this one. _________________

It's on PS1, and I have a feeling if you play it, you'll wonder what the hell I'm thinking about liking the game. It's non-linear to an amazing fault, the graphics are barftastic, and the combat system doesn't resonate with everyone.
Yet, for some reason, I love it. Hell my username is from the game(sorta) |

So, in theory, this is your guilty pleasure game... I had one of those once upon a time, but I will not mention which game! I will lose all respect (if I had any ever) from anyone!
P.S. it's FF X-2 _________________

Haha, that game was actually pretty good, though. Loved the combat system. |

Yeah, I am replaying it now because 1.) I'm bored and 2.) I would like to use different dress-spheres than last time... I never used the Trainer or Gun Mage dress-spheres, and I have also not completed it 100%. However. I did see the perfect ending on YouTube.
Anyways, it looks like a local Video Trader had SF hahaha, I will be buying it after GH2 comes out, and balance between the two. I would like to find a strategy guide for it though... I always get them even though I never actually need them... _________________

Some of the greatest games are like that though. It's just truly fun to play, even if the graphics are crap, and it's completely linear.
Hell, look at Lunar SSSC. Good anime graphics, and good story, battle system was good but not great, and there has never been a more linear story line. But it's still one of the greatest games ever! _________________

Ah, but SF is the opposite. It's WAY too non-linear. In some of the character's quests, it's seriously a matter of triggering a random event at one of four random locations. Thing it, it's impossible to find out these locations, and even when you know them, the event isn't guaranteed to trigger.
Kinda confusing. |
