See my FAQ on hard, the strategy is the same.
I got a 251,386 (1st place), with only messups in the solo and at that crazy YRG repeated part at the end, so this is probably about as good as I can do. _________________

This song is giving me fits...not because it's hard, but because I keep screwing up the same section over and over, and I could swear I used to play that section perfectly when I first started playing on expert. I'm refering to the eighth note strings that repeat X-O-B, with the X moving from Y to R to G. I have no idea why, but I can't seem to play these. My fingering is fine; I've made some very conscientious efforts to monitor my speed to make sure I'm not rushing, but I always mess up, usually on the G near the end. |

The YRG triplets are impossible...is this song truly FC proof?
edit: How the hell krimsun. Do you have an extra finger? _________________

I had the same problem for awhile and it really pissed me off, but now I have that section memorized so instead of watching the screen I watch my fingers and the fret buttons. It helps me keep the correct speed and I don't ever miss notes in there anymore. I'd say you should at least give that a shot see if it helps. |

Anyone else find it easier to use three fingers on the interlude notes (I don't know what else to call it)? _________________

Are you serious Pope? I suck at those. They're all that's keeping me from FC'ing this, TK65, and Take it Off. I hate quick triplets like that. Just can't do 'em. |

Yes I am, the triplets in Ziggy I get pretty much every time (PO's), but the solo kills me. I can get the ones in TK65 every time, too, but i can't get the first solo. As for Take it Off, I do pretty well on those, but still no FC in the Triplets |

We should completely get together and each play the different parts of the songs. I can get TK65's first solo at least half of the time, and I can get Ziggy's maybe once in 8 tries or so. Haven't played that in a long time though. But I've only gotten TK65's second solo once and never came close on Ziggy's second. |

What SP strategy are you using, Pope? I have been getting both the solo and the triplets but I'm falling short of first place. Buuut, since you're less than 4K away, a FC will mean your path/execution is good for first. We need to get to 13 mill!
Here's my SP strategy (I obviously don't fully whammy before the third activation), so let me know if yours differs or if the difference is in the squeezes. _________________

emptyset, It looks to me like you'd get about 900 pts more if you started the last activation about a measure earlier, on the Y right before the RB chord. That assumes you can catch the Y at the end, but if you can't it'd be a little better to start on the RB instead. Theoretically. It is suspicious that there is a 6 beat measure right there, I wonder if the note chart is right... |

My midi data decode shows a 6/4 measure (just the one) there as well, so I'd say the chart is right.

Ah yes, I didn't notice that when you posted the path in IRC. That should definately help. _________________

Because it has benn requested...
POPE'S ZIGGY PATH
1. Get the first 3, use (read:squeeze) on the first set of YO chords, and you should be able to get the GY chord hold in SP
2. Get the next 2, use (still read:squeeze) in the same spot as the first
3. Whammy the next SP FULLY, right before the solo. On the Orange hold after the solo, whammy once and activate right away. If you did it right, it will end right as the hold ends before the next SP
4. Get the next 2, activate on the long RB chord hold. It should end right at the end of the triplets.
If someone wants to put this in chart form, i bet that would help |
