I have a laptop and want to download frets on fire but it wouldn't be much fun with a laptop keyboard. I have seen people use an X-Plorer to play frets on fire on YouTube. Does anybody know how do mod it so X-Plorers are compatible?

just download the driver for 360 controllers. I got it here

after that, you should be all set. Just map the keys to the controller buttons through the frets on fire configuration menu.

I though that you just plug in the guitar into an empty usb port. That's what my friend did and it worked. I think your not supposed to press anything till the main screen comes up though then use the guitar from there.

I'm pretty sure that vista finds the guitar without needing any drivers. I'm running XP though (thank god) and I had to grab this driver to get it to recognize the x-plorer.
