Meet the Spartans

Okay, I just went to see this movie. For those who haven't seen the commercial, it is a spoof of the movie 300 with a bunch of other movie spoofs thrown in. I think it was really stupid but at the same time hilarious. I laugh at almost everything though.

For comedy I would give this 9/10 but
Overall 6/10 becuase other than being very funny, it's dumb.

If you want to laugh your ass off you should see this movie. Discuss what you think about the movie.

I think I'd rather see Cloverfield again than watch this movie. And I've already seen Cloverfield three times.

Anyway - I decided never too watch this movie after seeing the Britney Spears joke. It just looks like the same, "Scary/Epic/Date/etc. Movie" waste of film.

Oh god, this (and Epic Movie awhile back) just look like poorly-made and poorly-written, which is a shame because spoofs can be so funny.

Honestly, the Rambo joke from the trailer makes me say, "Come on, really?"

There might be one joke in the trailer that made me semi-chuckle.

I haven't ever seen 300, because my friend and I were fighting when she went to see it, so that might be why I hated this movie, but I still got the main idea.
I wanted that damn movie to be over!
IMO it was even worse than epic movie.
The scary movie series was really cool, because of the irony of making a movie that "feels" ike a scary movie but it's funny.

I did like the part that spoofed those corny radio commercials that sound like motivational advertisements though.

I've just seen some parts of Scary Movie movies, but my parents have seen the full movies and they said they were stupid. I haven't seen 300, but because this is from the creators of SM, I just know it's going to be dumb.

The first Scary Movie was by far the best spoof I've seen out of all of these (Epic,Date,sequels to Scary Movie) I just watched Meet the Spartans last night and going in I had the same feelings as everyone in this thread. Overall, yeah it sucked but there were some actual funny parts that got me laughing, but my advice would be to just wait to rent this.

I liked the scary Movies. 1 and two were absolute side splitters. R rating FTW. Scary movie three I also liked a lot. Scary movie 4 was good for the most part. then epic/date, made me hate everything. So I don't think I will see Meet the Spartans, maybe as a rental when it comes out.

I went to see this movie, did not laugh at all. Sure a few chuckles here and there, other than that. Nothing. Mainly because I was done with all these kinds of movies after being severely disappointed in Scary Movie 4. The first one was good, second was okay and IMO the third one was the best. Date Movie and Epic Movie looked really, really stupid. And the only movie allowed to make fun of Rambo is Hot Shot's Part Deux.

I would say go rent Airplane, The Jerk or Blazing Saddles then see this.
