gh2 is pretty hard. not TOO hard (i beat it on expert...just saying dont flame me) but i find gh3 much more enjoyable because of the increased time window, it makes me feel better about myself . i was wondering if i could increase the hit time window in gh2 somehow. ive searched for it and nothings come up. thanks guys. |

config/gen/beatmatcher.dtb
Look for the value for "slop". It defaults to 100. The number signifies the number of milliseconds before and after a note that you have to hit the correct key. If you increase this number, you essentially make it easier to hit a note.
There is also hopo_threshold in the same file. Should be self-explanatory. |

No idea - I'd suggest setting it to 150 first to see how that goes for you. I played around with 200 and it would clear out notes a couple of beats ahead of the baseline when you hit them - actually makes things more confusing/difficult in some situations. |

You don't have to separately adjust for hopos. Widening the slop threshold will apply to them as well. _________________

I can't tell whether this is a genuine apology or a sad attempt at patronization, but I'm going to assume it's the latter. Stop it.

If that's the case, what is the hopo_threshold node used for? _________________

You realize that you posted this and your other question as topics AND in the DTB editing guides thread and they got answered in both places. Why make a topic and a post in a thread?
Please be patient and you'll get answers. No need to post questions more than once. _________________
