GH:WT - Neversoft Screwing Around Again?

Sorry if this is old news (I searched and found nothing ), but on World Tour while playing Love Spreads (on Bass) with the guitar and drum audio turned down cos it helps me concentrate, I heard backing vocals. I'm well aware that there ARE backing vocals (I have Second Coming), but not at a strange pitch just at the end of the first chorus.

Was this Neversoft screwing around a la Aerosmith, was I hearing things or something else altogether?

It was either crowd singing, or more likely the fact that turning the audio all the way down for any instrument doesn't actually mute it.

There's crowd singing in just about all the songs, it especially get loud at key parts like:
