so he just had a heart attack?
he was obviously in very good shape.
I wonder if he was on steroids. _________________

I bet that he had an irregular heartbeat of sorts. It happens a fair amount, but as someone said, you have to wonder about the steroids. |

Steroids is pretty much the explanation to everything in sports these days... _________________

Wow, that's terrible.
A heart attack at 19 is still pretty weird though, or at least to me. I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to that stuff. _________________

the first thing i thought of when i heard this story is how awful it was watching the game when jiri fischer went into cardiac arrest. i can't imagine what it must have been like. and only 19, too. such a shame. |

Not necesarily. This seems to be the same case as Marc-Vivien Foe's death.
Its probably a congenital heart disease, he could have a murmur or irregular heartbeat of some sport. _________________

ESPN reported it was "chronic ischemia, a medical condition in which not enough blood gets to the heart or other organs."
People have been speculating that the medical repsonse unit A) had left the building already and had to come back, and/or B) did not have a working defibrillator, if one at all. It sounds like this death could have been prevented, which makes things even worse. _________________

I watched the Jiri Fisher game too.
I was speechless for like an hour. _________________

Kids these days have to learn to work hard and not take the easy way out. Although I'm a kid (12 ftw), I don't use steroids and I'm one of the fastest runners in my SCHOOL (no joke). And I DO practice regularly. Steroids aren't always the answer.
I hope HellAshes isn't on steroids for his fingers =P _________________
