So in GH3 I can ho/po like crazy, I'm no pro or nothing, but I can 4* Dragonforce songs on expert so I am no slouch to ho/po....
But in World tour I can't hit a tough ho/po to save my life! Why did they change away from the GH3 ho/po technique, and revert back to what seems like a GH2 ho/po technique? I must say this, on top of the poor track list makes me regret my decision and hope that Gamestop will give a good price for it on trade in.... |

I guess so... I am really not enjoying world tour like I would hope my $100 would bring me. Seems like it's not as much fun as GH3. Charts are too easy and dumbed down for mass consumption, ho/po's are too tight (my opinion of course), not sure about all the other 'features' (song creator, other instruments, etc) I think they are taking away from the fact that it is supposed to be a guitar hero game.... |

People generally complained obout the hammer ons and pull offs in GH3, so it was redone in GH:A and the same engine has been brought to GH:WT. Those of us that preffered the GH2 system will be happy while those who preffered the GH3 system will suffer. Almost a turn of tables since GH3. I would just try to grow used to it. Chances are if you get better at a tight system, you will in turn also get better at the loose system and be a better over all player.
Option A: Be stubborn and return to GH3.
Option B: Learn the new system and become a better player.
Option C: Have sex, get aids, die.
Okay maybe option c isn't the best choice to put in there but if i were you, I'd go for option b. _________________

I think its awesome that they're using the GH:A hammerons.
In my opinion, Guitar Hero 3's were too easy, and Guitar Hero 2's were just frustrating - Guitar Hero Aerosmiths were just right.
So yeah. Personally I'm very happy with the hammeron system they're using. _________________

What he means is that hopo can be loose, or tight... but gh3 hopo was -broken- There was no timing window.
If you have a . . . . . . . and strum red then just hold green, it hits. Where what should happen is you must have the fret change be within a window. How loose or tight it "should" be could be debated, but I think there really is no argument to say the gh3 system is not broken. _________________

How far are you in the game then? I just started playing GH:A (finally it came for PC) and I really suffer at the easy hopo parts while I shine at the hard parts. The GH3 system has made me lazy. _________________

Notions that the GH3 HO/PO system is better than the World Tour HO/PO system is what's destroying the essence of rhythm games.
They're about following the rhythm of a song, not OMG NOTES BUT I HIT THEM BECAUSE I PUSHED THE BUTTON 5 SECONDS AFTER THE NOTE. |

All of the slide parts are easier than GH3's HO/PO system. 100% in the Crazy Train and Beat It solos on my sightreads.
I'm glad that the regular HO/PO's are back to the way they should be. It makes it that much more challenging. We won't have so many random people being so freaking amazing at the hardest songs! Or maybe I'm wrong lol. _________________
