Dragon Force says that they are inspired by video game music. O_o
Well, this is for Graf back in the pokemanz thread.

Yay for not being the only person in the world who has this happen to them!
I experience the exact same thing you do, faintly hearing the music in my life after I'm done playing it. |
I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY THANK GOD SOMEONE ELSE HEARS IT.
Seriously, I was walking into the kitchen to get some delicious snacks when I heard the sound of riding your bicycle in Pokemon in my left ear. I looked left and saw.....absolutely nothing. I hear the music randomly during the day, but it's very faint and it comes in and out.

Heh heh, the Pokemon bicycle tune is legendary.
Video game soundtracks have been a long-time secret pleasure of mine. Because some of my best childhood memories are playing certain video games, and music/sound is second only to scent for tying to your memories, video game music is a great way to stay with the games of past, even if you don't play them anymore.
On a regular basis, you can still catch me listening to Zelda, Mario, Metroid...well, any Nintendo or Rare game. I suppose even though the technology for music in video games is always advancing, no soundtracks have really stuck out to me in the last decade, with a few exceptions: I love the Metroid Prime and Halo soundtracks, and most recently was blown away by Braid's.
Amazing how influential music can be, even in a video game.
EDIT: I suppose I'll hop on the bandwagon and link some of my favorites >_>
Metroid Prime Tallon Overworld Theme 2
And some of you know how much I love the Super Mario Bros. 2 theme. _________________

Music can set a tone in almost any video media. If you hear ominous music, wouldn't you think something bad or a battle is about to occur? and if you heard light and airy music, wouldn't you think the resolution was attained? Then there are the millions of inbetweens in terms of music that can hardly be described _________________

Final Fantasy IX - Vamo Alla Flamenco
I really love all the music from this game, but this is one of my favorites.
Also, all the music from the old Sonic the Hedgehog games (Sonic 1-Sonic and Knuckles)
The music from the Zelda games is really good as well. _________________

The music from the Legend of Zelda games is one of the best video game music I've heard. I particularly love the Ocarina of Time music. The Metal Gear series is another great example, and how can I forget Doom and Doom II? _________________

Forget what I said, anything from SSBB is amazing.
That game has possibly the best soundtrack ever made for a video game. |

I'll have to agree with you here. So many original compositions (I think it's over 200 or something), there's a song in there for almost any person, my personal favorite is Fountain of Dreams _________________

Golden Sun and Pokemon win my award for favorite VGMs. Golden Sun: The Lost Age has a remarkable and extensive soundtrack of amazing music. Like this one:

I'm a big fan of the Cynthia fight from Pokemon Platinum
Combine that with the piano intro when you talk to her before the fight and you have an epic piece of work _________________
