These are the only sections stopping me from FCing Slash Guitar Battle, and I can't hit it them at all! I hit both on Slower every time, and like 75% of the time on Slow, but I can't do it on Full Speed. Does anyone have any advice?

Being that there are few people that can hit those sections constently on full speed, you might try PM'ing them or something as an alternative, because those few people are kind of unlikely to come around here and see this thread.

Of course, I can't hit those on full speed, so I can't help at all.

I can only hit Blues Buster on slow, but I can hit He's Alive?!? except for the descending triplets at the end. It takes a lot of practice, but I suggest NOT strumming the hammer-ons and pull-offs in the first part. The key is to know exactly how many green notes there are in each streak and to end on the correct type of strum (up or down). Once you have this memorized, it's just a matter of locking the rhythm in. Like I said, it takes some practice because you're doing a lot of stop-and-go strumming, but strumming the HO/POs is just too inconsistent. Being inconsistent at the end of a song only leads to headaches.

I'm not even close to a slash battle fc as far as I know since I haven't played it in forever, but once upon a time I could hit the blues buster on full speed. Just play it like zig-zags with a gap, and during that gap, strum. The timing for the strum doesn't seem (to me) like it should be where it is so you have to figure out where exactly it is to hit it accurately at that speed. Once you figure out the strum the zig-zags are pretty basic to figure out. Just practice on a speed you can hit it on and use your ears to listen to exactly where the strum is, because it's kind of deceiving.

I just randomly was able to hit it on full speed one day after figuring out that its basically flailing a 12321232123zigzag with the strums. Try not thinking about the strums so much or else they'll stop ur zigzag consistency. I don't know if you'll understand what i just said, but if not, im sorry

IIRC I have hit both sections in the past, but I can only help with He's Alive!?.

First, for the beginning strumming, I would strum at a constant speed (approx. Raining Blood's flood strumming speed), and when it comes to hit the top notes I would just slightly hit them and release them immediately. Since it consistently slows down I suggest strumming progressively slower, and then start using HOPOs when it's slow enough. Personally I would stop spam-strumming at the thing in measure 104.

For the triplets at the end, I didn't tap at all, but I recommend it. You can either hold the lower fret with your tapping hand and fret the rest with your fretting hand, or tap with Lortwogo's flicking method (link, anyone?). You might have guessed it, but there are 5 sets, 7 sets and one set. If you're using the first tapping method I mentioned, make sure to be ready for the strumming by hitting the last green pull-off with your fretting hand.

Now the final strumming. There are 10 green's and 16 blue's, the last blue being separated from the rest. That strumming streak is I believe a tad slower than Flood's strumming. You might have to practice it a lot to find the right speed.

So, freticons time:

32*32*32*32*32*32*32*32*32*32*32*32*321

Blues Buster is much, much easier than you'd think. Just zigzag 123212321232... and aim to strum just a little before you put your ring finger down on blue. Practice it a little on slower speed to get the timing down, but you should be using primarily visual cues to know when to strum.

What you can do is think of strumming on each blue, and then strum just progressively earlier on each strum (there's a tendency to slow down through the zigzag). You'll get it every time with no effort at all.

EDIT: Lol, I posted about something after Undead said he couldn't help with it! This makes me happy...

JLC's blues buster tapping method works like a charm, no matter how ridiculous it is.

Now that I remember what Blues Buster is, I can actually help. <___<

I used to hit it with two fingers, sliding from R to Y:

I just strum through Blue's Buster (or just strum about 3 times around the strummed note). If your fretting hand is accurate enough, then gh3's hammer ons should be fine when strummed

2*2122*2122*2122*212

Not sure how many times it does that, but just tap the blues and elbow strum. I never miss it.

I one-hand Blues Buster and get it everytime. The trick is to play it faster, then slow down a little before the strum.

He's Alive...

For the strumming, Undead gave you the right thing to do. But make sure to use 1st, and only 1st position starting from the : trill. You can only hope to hit the next cluster though... hardest part of the song. Stay in first position for the GR trill, and only switch to 2nd once you see an orange note.

321-321-321--321211321211321321

Alt-tapping is easy to do, and one-handing the last two trips give you enough time to bring your tapping hand back to the strumbar in time for the strumming.

But then you get to have a little captain in you.
